Training in the Alpine | Ep 7 Ultra Marathon Training 2024

Just a fun lil video of keeping it real during an alpine training day. Did some laps to try to get some decent elevation gain, at altitude. Hope you enjoy- I know the audio was a lil whack at times so bear with me- lesson learned.

I always thought that Styrkr was pronounced "striker"... Great job training in the high country! Looks beautiful.

Great video, thank you (I like the straight forward , no-nonsense style with a little humour every now and again). I am also running my first 100km in November and enjoy sharing your training journey.

Currently training for my first 50 miler with a ton of vert’ and I have totally had those moments of “I don’t think I can’t do it”. I’m scared, but shouldn’t we do things that scare us? 🙌

No joke about those 90 degree days last week.. and it was humid! Even my night runs were miserable and sweaty

I found your channel looking for inspiration to fuel my own runs. I’m just a road runner, but I’m really enjoying your videos! Almost makes me want to try trail running. Almost. 😂

Nice work. How do your legs feel now? On Sunday I did a little over a marathon in the mountains with 6k+ feet of gain and for a couple of days my legs were fried. They felt good today though thankfully, although like you my glutes are still a little angry at me.

Another great little video. Just wondering about your home made gels. I like that it's a BIG gel, because I find the commercial ones a bit small. What's the calorie density like?

For that gel it’s roughly 300 cals! My recipe is soooo close- it gets better every time so I’m hoping to share it very very soon! Always appreciate your support- thank you for being here!!!

Coucou je suis français, les pieds pour les soigner il faut les strapper, il ne faut surtout pas les lubrifier, conseil d'un trailer expérimenté, à essayer, et tu n'auras plus d'ampoule❤😉

How the ruddy f*k do you manage to scoot down hills while recording and talking to camera? I ruined my ankle descending a couple of weeks ago. And I was only concentrating on running down that hill. : / So somewhat envious.

Oh my gosh I am so sorry to hear that!! Perhaps is a I’ve practiced it enough where I’m decent at it 😂 trust me, I’ve found myself on the ground quite a few times. Hoping you heal up fast and can get back out there!!

@@MountainHighLife Cheers! I think my issue is my ankle has practiced being torn asunder almost every time I descend a mountain, so now it doesn't even have to try! : )

Did you pull out that folding aid station table in your car, and replicate an AS stop between loops? why didnt you show that? Also, if you ran with a drone your subscriber numbers would shoot up to 23k. I'm being sarcastic. Great video
