Training a Wild Horse in an Hour

Freedom. All our lives we've been told that freedom means being unrestrained-no rules, no limits. Trouble is, we've chased that freedom, and found only fear and isolation. In reality, freedom isn't really about restraints. It's about meaning. This weekend, professional horse trainer Todd Pierce is going to show us-through the eyes of an untamed horse-what it looks like to leave behind our wildness and embrace the freedom that a loving God offers.

My uncle was a gentler of horses long before the term Horse Whisperer was ever used. He used to say horses have their brains in six pieces, a chunk of brain and a chunk of heart in each hoof, and a big chunk of brain on each side of his head, each side is dedicated to an eye, the two chunks of head brain hardly talk to each other, so anything you teach a horse from one side you then have to teach to the other side. You can have a horse who is sweet as pie if you approach from the left who turns into a sumbitch (he claimed that was a technical term) if you approach from the right~ until taught differently.

Wow! My riding instructor came up with an analogy close to this on the fly a few years back. It stuck with me so much. I showed him this video and he said, “Dang I was on to something!” 😂 Glad to see someone else being able to use a similar analogy in an amazing way!

Love buckskins. I was pretty young when Dad had a big old buckskin named Dusty. I have memories of me riding with dad and my legs dangling over the tree of the saddle while we moved the cows to home. Horses were all we used. No ATV’s on our ranch. Dusty was dad’s last horse. Dad was 49 when I was born. So my brothers and sisters were all teens and adults when I was born. Dad and mom spoiled me rotten. My Dad was a cowboy, a soldier, a father, a grandfather, my hero, and a devote man of God. I wish I’d had more years with him but my siblings said I had the best years with him. He took me fishing and spent lots of time with me. He taught me a lot. Most of all he and mom made sure I knew who my Savior was. Dad always told me no matter how dark or bleak life may look at times Jesus is always there with you being your light. So follow him because he will never leave you. I’ve lived my life not always as a good Christian but many times I’ve turned my eyes back to the Lord and he’s never turned his back on me.

This is amazing! It was God who lead me to this video. Years ago I asked the lord what he wanted me to do with my life and the answer was clear, “Bring others to Jesus Christ through the healing power of horses.” Others have laughed at me when I told them that I wanted to help others heal through horses and with God, I don’t think many people understand. But this video portrays it exactly. I still don’t know how I will do it, but I know with Him all things are possible.

This is amazing. I understand this. Through struggles, tribulations, and my wildness, God had a plan. He had to tame me and break me to get me to know and trust him. Through it all, He was there. I have a purpose and a Master who I want to serve.

There was a portion of this video that showed you driving away from a property with a 🐴 horse in a trailer & a promise that the horse was going to experience a reality so beyond what it had ever experienced. But, the video never showed us what this awesome reality -for a horse- was. Instead, we were sidetracked here and there until what we experienced, was a compilation of moments!

I haven't smiled in 2 years, I suffer from great trauma.. it made a crack in the blackness of betrayal and the 7 circles of hell, a brief light and smile & hope. I will never give $ for a spiritual cookie in the afterlife. My religion is love. No guilt no shame & no obligation to anyone, this is between me and the creator.

Why is the host yelling/screaming all the time ? the guy being interviewed is talking normally and nice - then the host blasts the screen with the over the top voice ... blah good subject - poor execution to get this to the public .... the actual horse guy was great!

Luv the guy with the horse....could do without the guy interviewing...in this story, it’s not necessary...and it was ill timed to ask for tithing....kind of ruined it by reminding me what the root of Evil is...😳😇😎I do not mean to be rude, or mean ...just giving a spiritual sense of perspective...to help with a mildly obvious constructive criticism in an effort to advise what tends to put people off in what they want in a documentary, where religion is slightly accepted, as long as it’s not preached and especially not asking for money the first time we have met. Even Jesus understood that! When you want to bring someone closer, do not do anything to push them farther away....😎😇⚡️👍🏽

Todd Pierce’s message is so profound, but when interrupted by this minister it is like 2 different philosophies! Todd’s from our Heavenly Father and the ministers as a more worldly performance/ perspective versus Spirit led. 😢sad.

God has everything to do with horse after all, He created them. They are magnificent. Many of us know what it is like to be so broken that we became lost in utter darkness. It is in that darkness that I returned to God. God has given me a whole new life. He comforts me, leads, and guides me. God loves us as much as we love horses. If it was not for grace I would not be here. Jesus is my parter and my everything.

Just show the video and instructions about the horse training and drop the preaching!! I shut video off half way through but came back to post a comment. You want to preach then make a video about preaching, you want to teach people about horses then stick to that! Not interested in your religious view pal and I will not watch another of your vids for this reason.
