It sounds really great...but who is really practicing 8h meditation except Buddhist monks to have a good impact on their immun system and to have a good influence on the epigenetic? No one has the time for that, considering the job of 8h and the time is needed to prepare in the morning, the time you need to get there and the other daily activities like shopping, eating and pay attention to a family if you have one? For all these benefits is no enough time left! But 20 min. a day I thing everybody can take this time for himself 😊 Greeting from Switzerland 🦋🐞🐌🐈

Key point here is to focus your mind to begin to help your awareness. Is simply to meet your soul via mind development. This is the key to getting to your true nature. Nirvana

@@aquababy2012 one doesn't need to put their "mind" any where, you just need to realize that the "mind" is nothing more then a collection of data ie memory, so you focus your thoughts ie your frequency on the Spirit ie that what animates what you have collected in order to tune your frequency, have an amazing day

At the beginning of the interview the host mentioned that the troops are using meditation. How do you meditate when you are being trained to kill other human beings? what would you be meditating on? How to kill and still maintain your sanity? not being sarcastic, just don't understand how a method that teaches one how to bring peace and calm to the mind can be used by people who are trained to kill others be usefull. Decent answers please. Thank you.

that sounds like a pretty profound question, and points out the inherent contradiction in military use of mindfulness. But at the end of the day, one cold argue any additional adoption of mindful behavior will generally lead to better outcomes.

deBora cousins You have slightly missed the point of focus training via meditation. Also all troops are not using these techniques. He maybe referring to the ones that have some mental issues like PTSD

Hi! There are a lot of types of meditations. There are meditations that you can train only focus. You can use that focus to do harm as well as to do good. So just the focus meditation is not enough to make you a better person. It will surely make your mind quieter and that is very beneficial if you want to practice other kinds of meditation such as Mettabavana meditation - which is kindness and compassion meditation - because it makes it easier to concentrate, but just that won’t make you a better person. Meditation can also help veterans deal with ptsd so he could also be referring to that. I hope I could answer your question. Cheers!
