महान फिल्म..... खुशवंत सिंह की लेखनी से निकली एक दर्दनाक रचना, जो बंटवारे के दर्द को बेहतरीन बयां करती है। बंटवारा इन्सानियत के ऊपर बदनुमा दाग है जिसने दोनों तरफ के लोगों को बहुत दर्द दिए। इन्सान की शैतानियत का प्रतीक है बंटवारा।

Train to Pakistan is very close to my heart.....We did a play on this novel ....The children of St.Thomas' School, Shimla did that and it was witnessed by Sh. Tom Alter and Shilpa Shukla g....Even She started crying and I was awarded for the best director award.....Our school stood first ......MEEL KA PATHHAR of my life.......A beautiful story depicting sacrifice,true love,pain of departure......

One bastard by name Jinnah divided Punjab that was at peace with itself and was the most prosperous province of British India. Each village had Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus living peacefully but Jinnah thought Pakistan cannot happen unless they hated each other. Muslim League went about spreading hate. Massacre of Sikhs started in Lahore, Rawalpindi and other places and spread to Eastern part where Sikhs then took revenge. Thus was divided one of the greatest places ever conceived by God.
