Train to Machu Picchu: What are my Options?
Wanting to take the train to Machu Picchu? There are many train options, however, they all include bimodal service, with a bus ride to Ollantaytambo.
No matter what your budget is, each train company, Inca Rail or PeruRail, has a train for you. They run from the super-budget options at approximately $100 round trip to the super baller status train at $10,000 round trip.
Getting to Machu Picchu involves many steps and you will want to make sure that you have the train option for you.
We're gonna go ahead and deep dive into that, but to give you a general answer upfront on what we think is the most economical while incorporating a step up in style and has the most departure times here at Cachi, we use PeruRails, Vistadome. We're going to explain in detail why shortly, but let's go and break down all the options separated by the two train companies and listed in order of cost.

That was helpful. We booked with OAT and they use Inka Rail 360 for our upcoming trip.
