Train Simulator Classic | The Huddersfield Line | Class 185 | Leeds To Manchester

Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
In today's episode we're going to be driving a double set Class 185 on the 09:45 TransPennine Express departure from Leeds to Manchester Airport. We're driving as far as Manchester Victoria and will call today at Dewsbury, Huddersfield and finally Manchester Victoria.
I have since downloaded the Armstrong Powerhouse track patch and weather enhancement which has improved this route immeasurably. I have also come to realise since driving this route, that the Huddersfield to Leeds section of the route is a damn site better than the Huddersfield to Manchester section of the route.

I feel your pain Joe, it must be quite annoying to have your local line feel lacking and underwhelming. I got lucky because my local wasn't made by DTG, its the Bossman Welsh Marches
It would be great if they added the Calderdale route to this as well as the bit to Piccadilly; seeing as it shares a lot of the rout from Leeds (if you don’t go via Bradford) up around bridghouse and then the end of the route from the depot to Manchest Victoria.. would love to see todmorden, Rochdale etc in here

I think the calder valley line would be better off as a separate route from Victoria to Leeds and preston

My experience with the speed set is that if it drops below the allocated speed it will disengage (74.9 from 75 for example).

That's a pretty poor margin for speed set to disengage tbh
What is the next TS video? Will it be the 802?

hey joe, how do you get AI trains working other than in scenarios, i own JT Western mainlines but! theres no AI unless i play a scenario and even then it uses the OLD HST, stock valenta noises etc it also forces you to use the same HST

I don’t know how to do it without scenarios, but a program called Locoswap can help solve your issue. It allows you to swap the stock in scenarios, so you can, for example, put the AP HST on a scenario where the original HST is. It also allows you to switch out stock for au services on a scenario. That’s what I have done for a lot of the scenarios for the Huddersfield line, making all the services more modern stock.

That’s the one! I’m glad I wasn’t going insane haha, they also put their logos on the back of the warehouses so you could see it as you were travelling past on the train

The bit that made me have a refund was the sea sick track laying. The curve-straight-curve nonsense is a poor showing and honestly unacceptable.
