Hiya Joe, another great video showcasing my route! Much appreciated. I'll now take the time to comment on some of the things said in the video, and answer some of your questions. - Firstly, between Alton and Bentley, you went passed some sidings just after the section with the very close trees. These sidings are the now disused Holybourne Oil Terminal. The oil works were closed in 2016. There are some great videos online of EWS Class 66s hauling TEA wagons to/from Fawley Esso in Southampton (also now disused.). These 66s would travel via the Portsmouth Direct Line, branch of at Guildford onto the North Downs Line (included in this route) before joining onto the Alton line. The 66 would perform a run-around manoeuvre at Alton and reverse the wagons into Holybourne. This makes for very interesting scenario potential in the route. - Between Farnham and Aldershot you drove around that sharp bend at 30mph. The railway was not always built this way. Originally, the line would've carried straight on and merged into the North Downs Line between Ash and Wanborough. I believe there was also a branch on this line to get to some now demolished industry in Aldershot's industrial zone. As a result, the big sharp left turn towards Aldershot station was originally a branch off of the line previously mentioned, hence is slow speed. This line is now the mainline but the curve remains the same as it has been since construction. Also, that funny signal you saw just after Farnham, is indeed like that in real life. - Just after that, you spoke about having heard about Aldershot before. This may have been because Aldershot used to be a major military town. In fact, it still holds a lot of it's military presence. Last week, SWR operated a special train service with the headcode 1Z33 that was used to transport troops from Aldershot to London to rehearse for the Coronation. There are some good videos/pictures on Twitter of just how packed the platform is: twitter.com/BenABrittain/status/1653667574452715520 - You'd be very correct about Aldershot (which is indeed my local) being a terminus for some services. A good example of this is the Aldershot-Ascot service, which pulled into Aldershot platform 3 during your stop there in the scenario. This service runs every 30 minutes and curves off just after Ash Vale towards Ascot via Frimley. Additionally, in peak times, SWR run some Waterloo-Aldershot services. One of which goes via the South Western Mainline through Woking, terminates at Aldershot and then goes into Farnham C.S.D for the evening. There is actually a great scenario on ATS for this service: alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/cb-2a95-1802-london-waterloo-aldershot/. The other of which goes via Ascot and is formed of two Class 458s. This service would join onto the Alton line at Ash Vale. These 458s also then go into Farnham C.S.D for the evening and form a service to Waterloo in the morning, also via Ascot. - The Aventras that South Western Railway have ordered are Class 701s. The Class 701s have been nothing short of an embarrassment. They were originally due to enter service in 2019, but this was delayed due to COVID. The first unit wasn't delivered to South Western Railway until 2020. Ever since then, SWR have received many more deliveries, of both the /0 and /5 variants (the /5s are only 5 carriages, unlike that /0s that are 10). The Class 701 has since been plagued with issues such as the drivers door not working, the windscreen wiper being obstructing and having to be moved, they've also had software issues. Oh, and to top it all of, some of them have major electrical issues. For example, a couple months ago, while a specific 701 unit was on test (not sure which one), the earth wire wasn't done properly and a passenger table had 750v running through it - a fault that would've been fatal had it been in passenger service. SWR now have all their depots (Bournemouth, Eastleigh, Farnham, Wimbledon, Clapham Junction, and others) full up. Even some sidings such as Wokingham (the 701 there was heavily graffitied) and Portsmouth & Southsea have had 701s in them at times. As a result, SWR are sending some 701s up to Long Marston for storage, as they simply don't have enough space to store them all. Bare in mind that not all of them have even been delivered yet. - Finally, between Ash Vale and Brookwood you go over Pirbright Junction. This is the junction that connects the Alton line to the South Western Mainline, which goes to places like Basingstoke, Winchester, Eastleigh, Southampton, Bournemouth, Weymouth etc. Farnborough isn't a major stop on the line but still gets the Waterloo-Basingstoke service every 30 minutes and the Waterloo-Portsmouth Harbour via Basingstoke service every 60 minutes. Great video! Those signal 'sticks' on an arm are quite common down this way. You should definitely give the South a visit and roam the rails down here.

The line is looking very nice indeed, bit of a shame that there was no detail on the mid-hants railway platforms or sidings at Alton but still a good route. Great video as always!

You might have heard of Aldershot from the bus side of things, there was a fairly large bus company called Aldershot & District, which went on to become Alder Valley under the NBC and its not at all direct descendant is Stagecoach Hants & Surrey!

Not sure if you noticed. But you missed a Whistle Borad entering Bentley. For reference it's the white circle board on the side that has a W in the middle of it. Also. I've seen on the SWML a 12 car 450 with all three variants of livery. South West Trains, South West Trains(With SWR logos) and South Western Railway. Another point I'd like to see at alton would be maybe AI traffic coming into platform 3 from The Watercress Railway.

As as route dev I will see what I can do with Calder valley!

I think the reason SWT turned into SWR is because of the fact that it may be copying EMR

Yes definitely. It takes a while to get the settings to how you'd like them but I use a preset I like a lot.

Pedro Pony meant to be two packs for bus simulator 2021 you got a school bus one and definitely I do know you can pick up kids and another packet have free buses in I can't remember but now got a school one with you can pick up school passengers and isn't back for it

Please tell me how you get such good FPS I have a 30 series surely I can get over 30 fps pls help

If you have a Gpu, windows might not be using it for train sim and will instead use your cpu. I’ve had issues with fps and when I changed it so Ts will use my Gpu, it improved it by a lot.

Just realised I haven’t told you how to do so go to settings system>Display>Graphics then find railworks64 and change it to high performance
