I could see Arriva buses outside of Bournemouth station when you arrived there. Arriva don't even operate in and around Bournemouth.

@@TrainSim_TV No. It is Morebus (formerly Wilts & Dorset) and Yellowbus

Personally, it's a decent route. The issue is the fact that it's such a short section of a much bigger route that it seems almost pointless to drive it. If this was in the works, it should've been extended to Weymouth to give a nice drive South which would be worthy of everyone's time. It's hardly realistic picking up a service at Southampton and only driving as far as Bournemouth...

Leo Martin it is a nice route,a bit more testing and it’d have been a great route to knock some of the issues on the head,but yeah the choice of start and end is unusual

'Black dirt' Not just just Southampton. But as someone who has lived here her whole life it's pretty accurate :D

Here’s my (very) optimistic thinking: DTG need a longer route (surely) to be packaged with TS2020. I’m thinking it could be Woking - Southampton, and the UK edition will have this extension too and this and Woking - Southampton will be mergeable like NWC.

I guess it depends when TS2020 is coming out,if it's within the usual September deadline I'd be surprised if it's out by then. The fact they've given it a title "South Western Main Line" makes me think they're definitely going to be adding to it though.

How do you turn that annoying beep off

Not just the Class 444 and Class 450 EMUs on this route, but this features the LNER A2 Peppercorn Blue Peter and the Class 47 in Maroon Livery with the Freightliner container set and the Mk1 coaches in BR Crimson livery. Maybe I should try the Class 47 in Maroon livery with the set of the Freightliner containers since the Class 66 Freightliner V2.0 are not included. The withdrawn RSC Class 47 in Maroon livery is quite useful for the Freightliner and the passenger railtour services. It's sad that this route does not have the Southampton To Woking extension.

Good honest review. I agree that some of it does look good, but there's a lot to improve. Btw, there's South West England route on UKTS which includes this route in its huge network, although it is not without its own faults but is at least free if you already own the requirements.

Thanks Ozdazz,I think the improvements aren't neccaserily that major,it's just a few noticeable errors if you look for them or drive the route a few times,generally the quality is good and I think the price is good,but it's let down in a few areas as shown,as said the errors are mostly isolated but overall do scream of rushing and a lack of full beta testing,gaps in stations,especially custom assets facing the track aren't exactly something to be happy about,no matter how much we pay for it.

Which dtg route did the truro signal box come from? Thanks for the review and your points of view from a route building perspective.

Thanks. The box came from Truro to Falmouth route a number of years ago,the bit next to it (brick building) has been in many routes over the years.

Truro Brick and wood signal box vice Bournemouth Wooden box LOL oh dear.

It would have been easier on the eyes to move the camera slower, and not too much zooming in and out quick.

What button on your keyboard do you press for the dsd?

E key reacts to the vigilance device. Use Ctrl&E to turn driver vigilance off

Certainly is good to see a new Southern region city in the game!

Too much zooming, hurt my eyes! Watched until arrived at Brockenhurst. On one side of the level crossing toward Lymington buildings (cottages) acceptable but on the other side those houses should be a pub, cafe, souvenir shops and yes even a cycle hire shop. This scenery needs more photogrammatery. As of 2022 not worth £17.99 especially for such a short run. As many have said previously, route should have been Southampton to Weymouth. Millbrook appears okay.

I live in Weymouth my fave station

so as u left i paused it preying pokesdown was modelled as i remeber it from years ago and tbh they nailed it on that station

I think this route is on the level as other DTG routes and is still a great route for the price. DTG routes overall still better than JT routes.

Scenery wise it's very nice though there's some clumsy errors in it,overlooking those and it's more or less the usual DTG standards,though there's some unusual assets used as I said in the video,they have better assets available to them,but chose to use a number of Kuju assets,not a major problem but it's a strange way of doing things.

Mark I cant believe as a company how much they are going downhill they really are just how they are reusing assets and dont bother to make new ones for the specific things like the Signal box for example it is starting to become a joke with them in my opinion Rushed and no effort put it but love grabbing the cash for rushed jobs

Ashley Lightfoot the Bournemouth signal box one is a real downer,they managed to do Brockenhurst as a custom but not Bournemouth and it’s a key part of the station,such pivotal items shouldn’t be left out of routes,many freeware routes these days manage to get that sort of thing pulled off.
