Having built a T14 in OO gauge, I can absolutely confirm your obsession with these unique engines 😂. I can’t wait to see what future videos you have planned with the T14

When you mentioned Bulleid not willing to maintain them. It reminded me of an SLS report from April 1951 which noted that T14 No 30446 (Which I think was the only member of the class to receive a BR Numberplate and Gill Sans lettering) was being scrapped at Eastleigh at the same time as Bulleid's ill fated Leader. I think the whole story of Drummonds 4-6-0 attempts is interesting. They either were rebuilt in H15 4-6-0 or just had their tenders reused behind a few King Arthurs. The T14 was essentially the best of a rather disappointing bunch.

@@DDJP Theres an image of an immaculate No 30446 in BR Unlined Black with Gill Sans lettering and a numberplate in the 1949 Ian Allen ABC book (Page 34 of the Southern section). There are also a couple of images online (As well as a Railway Magazine article from January 1952 entitled "Farewell to the T14s" uploaded to the Southern Railway Email Group website) which show No 30446 in extremely filthy condition but you can make out the Numberplate.

Another LSWR masterpiece from CW. The only appropriate word I can think of is thunderous. Cheers and keep up the great work - Alex.

In My universe, i actually selected a few LSWR engines to be preserved, an A12, a G6, a T1, and a few others.

I'll have to get this thing at some point, because I've always been interested by the strange design. My favourite variants are the LSWR royal green and early BR with sunshine lettering.

It will eventually end up on the Dark Railway, though no name has been chosen yet.
