fun fact, with Eureka, you can actually slap both train controls and helm on the train, and after you drive it off the track, you get yourself a (air)ship - train, since the couplings remain. with this, you could potentially make a convoy of smaller ships for yet another series, this time on an ocean world or something like that

For said survival train series, a few ideas perhaps The train forever generates its own track in front of it, and removes it from behind. Theres something coming from behind that you must keep outrunning with the train, stopping every so often for resources

So for this, if you were to have it be a minecart with a slower autominecart loaded with spawners + tnt that never stops behind it, the challenge would come from clearing the terrain ahead of your minecart without stopping for too long otherwise the other minecart would catch up to you. As you make your train/minecart bigger, it would mean you have to clear more terrain. Do it so that your bed is stuck in the back and you can't change your respawn point and the moment the other train catches up to you it makes you lose your spawn.

this interaction mod is really good but here is a question. if you can build on a spinning island then couldn't you make a large area with a train and make it flip upside down and therefore drive upside down? would probably need a bearing pointing sideways and another connected pointing up to do it but i wonder how weird it would be

Maybe for a moment, because I assume that everything existing on the main plane in VS is affected by gravity, and the mod has shown that trains can fall off.

You can make working automated ship ports actually moving vaults off and onto ships (or trains in cargo train stations), of course that would be just for aesthetics beacause theres better ways to load things off and onto trains in create BUT there are uses for this like a railway turntable (wheelhouse) which i know shalz would LOVE

Yep, I built a crane to move vaults to and from my trains.

Imagine having a train in your base that could take you around your base. But your base is also a moving train

That mini-series sounds awesome, I can't wait!

That idea of surviving on a train with different biomes on each cart really reminds me of Infinity Train (the show) It'd be really cool if you built the train from Infinity Train as a reference

i just realized the absurd potential of create: interactive. like just the create mod itself is amazing, but this just unlocks it so so much further. the advanced machines you could build with this is amazing. i'm already getting ideas to do stuff. now just for it to be for 1.19.2 forge so i can use it on my server

I can legitimately think of a few scenarios where trains on trains are practical

I absolutely love when Shalz laughs and does that weird noises. That means we got something really good to see.

Dude this stuff is insane!

Create devs: "And who, pray tell, are you?" Shalz: "Your worst nightmare"

Now that you can put items on the train, you should see if you can automate it with like a crane or something, and then take the items off using another crane. It would be an awesome addition to the Create mod if this could work, revolutionizing shipping in the game, because you could use actual crates of stuff and transport them on trains.

9:34 you can do it like that endless train from "Dungeon Train" episode (S5E36) of Adventure Time also can get extra space for buildings if you'll use the wide gauge tracks from Steam 'n' Rails

9:00 is just like one of those pi visualization videos 😂😂

Fun fact: the Interactive contraptions are actual pieces of land that exist in the world millions of blocks away from spawn. When you set your spawn in a bed, it sets your spawnpoint to one of those distant blocks and the mod understands that to mean the spawnpoint is on board the train. ALSO this is why every block functionality will work on an Interactive contraption

for the survival world what you could do is have a water-world seed/mod and then have a circular track with radius of like 128 chunks, set world-spawn to the back carriage (plains carriage?) the train moves slowly but non-stop (faster then normal swim but slower then boat or dolphins grace)

Something that interactive ALSO does is it FINALLY makes it so that your momentum is preserved when jumping off of a moving object.

The thing with the many mechanical bearings reminds me of fouier transforms, and it seems you could use these to draw a picture by dropping things on the groubd at the end of the spinning arms

i have an idea for your main create survival series with this mod. what you can do now is since u have a train factory, you can make another train, that transports the trains from the factory, to its desired location. so say you built a mine system for example, and you want a train that goes back n forth, you can transport the train from the factory to the mine, using a train

I think it confused the villagers because their AI picks a block to stand on, but that block is now both moving and he is no longer in the spot he had chosen so he can neither be on his block or the position he chose

The thing I love about shalz is his possession with digital trains that actually just are 1:ns and 0:s .Btw I’m Swedish

It's only a matter of time till he recreates the entire Snowpiercer

The train series should have a "floor is lava" mode where you can only get off the train for X amount of seconds

Now do a little bit of math and a command block and you can make any 3d pattern you want with the Fourier series in Minecraft.

I imagine the bed spawnpoint will probably only stay until the train is disassembled, when everything becomes real blocks again, so it might need to be re-set as spawnpoint after assembling. But since we can place blocks on contraptions, that should only come up when you add more bogeys.

A fun idea, make a 5x5 grid with the center blocks missing, and on the center of the sides put bearings, and hook them all up to rotate with the motors, I don’t know if you need the corners, or if you could do it with a 3x3, but better be safe, make sure to glue each “arm” independently, and then set everything to rotate

Me and my friends have done a "survivial on a train" with create interactive, and i can confirm it is REALLY fun. Due to the limited space on the carts, we have to make it compact. And we have a different look for each carriage. My favorite would have to be the track factory, which has a large windmill and inside is just whirring machinery. Looking forward to your train series, i imagine it is going to be amazing!
