I'm also a woman in my 40s & just went through the 4th anniversary of my mom passing away. I miss my mom every single day, I'm not sure that yearning ever really goes away. I've been sitting here crying ever since finding this clip. By the comments section, it seems it's touched a lot of us for the same reason. ❤

Without a doubt my favorite song of all time. I had my own meaning to this song which almost go with the real meaning, but it's nice to know the writers true meaning of that song. Hey soul Sister is getting just as big, which is currently my favorite song of the past couple years. Keep the hits coming. :)

I was listening to "Drops of Jupiter," earlier on the radio as my husband and I drove from a doctor's appointment. I asked hubby if he knew what it meant and he answered "no." I speculated that the song was about drugs but said I'd be sure to google it when I got home. After I googled the lyrics and then listened to the song, I was led to this link. What a touching story behind such a beautiful tune!! I really love creatives, and just because I am one, but artists have t be some of the most interesting people in the world. Thank you for this upload.

When I first heard this song I was spell bound. I am a singer and a drummer. I got recording of it and one sunday I sat down and listened to it over and over writing down the lyrics. I was married at the time and my exes daughter from then on referred to it as "my song". I am extremely close with my mom. To hear that this song was his catharsis and the beginning of his healing only make the song that much more poignant. Raises my glass. To everyone's mom everywhere. Cheers. And to you Pat. My deepest sympathies for your loss.

I recently lost my second French Bulldog at the age of 5 quite tragically. My 'Soul Dog'. Unfortunately, my parents weren't to me what Pat's beloved Mom was to him...My animals were my refuge and source of unconditional love whether I deserved it or not. When Archer died, I made a Playlist of songs that reminded me of him with this song being my Number One! I've been blessed to find a new Pup in Oregon by sheer chance a few months later. His name? Jupiter! 'Trillium Meadows Drops of Jupiter'. This song and the story behind it will live in my heart forever (actually think I want to die with this song playing)...And, I work in hospice and couldn't agree more...our loved ones ARE still here just in a "different" way!!! ❤️🩹
