The pride, determination, and care each employee shows in their job is so obvious. This is why this railroad works so well. Pay attention to each crossing guard... raising their flags to indicate a clear pathway, each station conductor & switch man doing the same. When I left Vietnam 50 years ago I could feel this pride & determination. Good for you!

almost the same as in Indonesia, before the train departs, the conductor blows a whistle, followed by the train horn, which in Indonesia is called the "Semboyan S53" 🇮🇩

8:27 con đường hẻm bên cạnh ngày xưa là đường xe lửa Sài Gòn - Lộc Ninh, sau 1946 thì tuyến được dời len ga Dĩ An nên đoạn đường sắt chỗ này bị bãi bỏ

Cảm ơn người bạn trẻ đã cho tôi được nhìn ngắm cảnh quan trên đường tàu SG - BH , hơn 50 năm rồi tôi không có dịp ngồi trên đoàn tàu ấy . Góp ý : có 2 chi tiết bạn phụ đề thiếu và sai . Đoạn qua cầu vượt QL 1 K , trước khi đến chắn Bùi Hữu Nghĩa , khi vừa qua trạm biến áp , tàu qua 1 cầu nhỏ : đó là Cầu Quan ( thiếu sót ) song song với cầu trên đường bộ tên Cầu Đúc. - Giữa 2 cầu Ghềnh ( dân địa phương gọi Cầu Gành gần cả trăm năm , sau 75 mấy ông bắc tự ý đổi thành cầu Ghềnh , mặc dù là đồng nghĩa nhưng phải tôn trọng tiếng địa phương của người ta . Như ở Đa Kao SG có Cầu Bông trên đường Lê Văn Duyệt không lẽ lại đổi thành Cầu Hoa , nghe nó rất xa lạ và không Nam Bộ tí nào ) và cầu Rạch Cát có cây cầu cạn gọi là Cầu Hang Cù Lao ( Hiệp Hoà ) ( để phân biệt với Cầu Hang Tịnh Xá Ngọc Uyển , dân địa phương chỉ gọi tắt là Cầu Hang thôi , ad gọi là Cầu Vượt QL 1 K ) chứ không phải là cầu Hiệp Hoà . Tên Cầu Hiệp Hoà được đặt cho cầu đường bộ ở gần đó . Ga khởi hành khi xưa gọi là ga Hoà Hưng ( quận 3 ) còn ga SG thì ở tận quận 1 gần chợ Bến Thành . Nay là ga Metro Bến Thành .

I can't believe how there's people who have their mindset stuck in the 80s. Why blame the government when the people litter themselves? Even in the States, poorer urban regions look like a hellhole. Then who the fck will you blame on? - The US government?

Great ride. There are few short parts of the video where you can get a glimpse of what Vietnam could look like once it becomes more developed.

Cầu Ghềnh mới khai trương trông thật đẹp.

These videos like this one through Asian countries are the best. Those through Norway, Swiss mountains, and the like are quite scenic, but become boring in time. The landscape in Asian vistas are so green with all sorts of vegetation on, around, and near the tracks, not to mention the countryside. The houses, shops, and factories at times are just a few feet away from the tracks. This makes for an exciting, and interesting experience visually. Trash along the roadbed speaks volumes as to the humanity and the real to life day to day existence of the people. Everything is so rustic and basic; the design of the buildings and factories. The gates along the crossings are not automatic, but manned by real live human folk. Also everyone seems to wait so patiently, and obediently for the train to pass. I imagine such is the virtues of the Asian culture. I have one concern. The buildings because of their apparent age; is their a concrn about something callapsig onto the tracks causing a serious derailment? Most enjoyable video to watch. Oh, and that horn is so cool.
