The black plastic they wrap those bales just causes so much pollution !! you see it usually stuck on barbed wired fences and in trees and hedges after getting blown by the wind ! Farmers blame everyone for pollution when they cause a lot of it themselves !

Had a new Holland bailer very good upgraded this year to a newer version of the same bailer the problem is you have put all your bailers problems on you tube so it could make it a hard sell be carful with Fredy and the big doors if the wind gets up

We have always been Kuhn and they've been fantastic, Were currently running a Kuhn FBP 3135 combi baler, baling silage hay and straw with it and I cant fault it great machine, Will go toe to toe with any mchale

On the subject of balers. I run a Kuhn 2135mk2. 23k bales on it. (Modern version a 3130). In straw it will take any size row fairly fast as well. Usually I bale at 16kph. But in silage it comes into its own. It has had to rescue 3 different McHale balers that couldn't bale short wet grass. The Kuhn literally just ate it and made a very tight solid bale. Only thing is as with all chamber balers. Your rolling straw bales out. The middles aren't rolled to centre like the belt baler. Makes them a bit of a pig to roll out if very fluffy straw, infact you would likely just get a big pile to let the cows fluff about. McHale a good baler in the chamber. The rotor and pickup are crap if you have used something like the Kuhn.

My Kuhn hasn't been free of the odd problem. But it's capability is what keeps it.

I recall that we once had a calf with shoulder dysplasia years ago, and he did come right eventually in time. So hopefully your calf will fully recover too. We had regular runs of twin calves after changing over to Tithebarns minerals from Harbro and some other brand of minerals years ago. I can't remember the name of the other mineral brand now.

One of our reindeer calves was breeched last year and he cam out with his front legs bent and one of his back legs facing the wrong way, advice was to leave him and make him keep walking and after a few weeks he was perfect. Animals are amazing when you leave them to it...

Kuhn 3165. Bale anything, making a good bale at that. Just swapped ours last year for another. 40k bales and only changed a set of drive chains as precaution and a net actuator under warranty

You'll not go wrong with a mchale baler, we had a F560 and replaced it with a F5600 2 year ago and both have been trouble free so far and make a good bale, my only complaint is they make a slightly bigger bale than 4foot more like 4ft 3 or 4

freddie needs his own farm defender once he can reach the peddles or even an auto would be canny with extended pedals just a thought i pulled an electronic pump of a 300 tdi and put a mechanical pump on it with an auto box for ref

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it before or it is possible, but could you put a additive tank on your baler and sort the treated straw that way you could do as little or as much as you want and some for other people I do remember another KZreadr talking about it once

Re economic conditions. A local company that manufactures a major component for the plant and industrial vehicle sector (JCB, John Deere etc) reduced employee numbers significantly (a few hundred jobs) due to drop in demand for their products. Agri and construction sectors both feeling it.

You should look up heaths because they basically make the exact same product and are located in the same area.

That calf has joint I’ll give it metacam and pen strep for a week and it will be fine we have it a lot and treat it every time and comes good.

Seen your videos of baling straw and silage. No way you could describe that as high output. It was after seeing your MF 4180 struggling to take in short cuffeny straw that we bought a Kuhn 3165. The pickup will eat anything.@ritch195
