Capable of being a good pro and being good defensive cover. I don't think he could manage playing lots of games as a starter now without breaking down physically because of his age. Hopefully we haven't paid him too much and he will be a valuable and well appreciated squad man.

Good decision, we will need experienced backup next season. Gives his all for the club and that's one thing he can pass on to the new intake. 🇬🇧🇬🇧💙

@MrLoverofallthings I think Davie Weir was fortunate, and a bit more robust and his positioning and reading was of such a high level he didn't need to do a lot of hard running. Balogun is also very good however, I have copied and pasted this to look at regarding how often Balogun is injured. Hopefully he is on a lower wage and just for cover, because as much as I like him, I don't think he can keep up with the demands. Season Injury Days 20/21 Muscle injury 10 days 19/20 Muscle strain 26 days 19/20 unknown injury 36 days 18/19 Shoulder injury 67 days And recently a back injury.

Shame he’s not 25, this guy has been a solid performer for us and we got him later in his career. Sign another centre back anywhere near as good as him and we are doing well
