My suggestion would be to cut the bolts before putting them on just long enough to go thru the D rings. Looks sharp.

Why not just drill down through the board instead? No need to drill it to frame lol

Yes, I could've installed them through the wood boards but I was worried about when I load things onto the trailer and didn't want the D-rings to be in the way. I did read that they will work fine when secured through the wood as well. I say to each his own. Could've gone either way. Thanks for watching the video!!!
