Regarding the fire damage, you have to remember that the long-term and sustainable health of a coniferous forest is highly dependent on naturally occurring fires. Several species of coniferous trees depend on fire for their cones to release their seeds, and fire clears out the underbrush, allowing the coniferous seeds released from cones by fire to grow. Not all of the parent trees die, but the trees that do die eventually fall to the forest floor, and their organic material enriches the soil for a new cycle of forest growth. As heartbreaking as it is to see hundreds and thousands of acres devastated by fire, keep in mind these forests have been in place for hundreds of thousands of years before humans were around and fire is a natural, normal, and very necessary part of their life cycle. Like phoenixes, new and stronger, healthier forests arise from the ashes. Our own human life spans are too short to usually see the complete regeneration process. You two should visit Mt. St. Helens and see a forest in the process of regeneration...and really, how quickly the process goes.

Thank you for that education!
Lucille is so photogenic. We don't ride anymore, miss it every day. Enjoy watching you.
Love Rocky Mountain NP. Haven't been there for 40 years.
This road is awesome when they first plow it open around Memorial Day. The walls of snow are insane!
That was a great video. My wife and I have been full time now for about 8 months. We’re from colorado and have been to Rocky Mountain National Park to many times to count. It is still one of my favorite parks to hike and fish.
Thanks guys! Always great to hear from you!
If you ever get back there, take a look at driving Old Fall River Rd. It's a one way gravel rd with many switchbacks. We have done it on our motorcycle and our truck. It goes from near Estes Park to the Alpine Visitor Center.
Daisey looked pretty happy with her boy friend, they are cute. Looked like a fun ride. Be safe.

That was an awesome ride guys.
so pretty ... I love how blue the sky is up that high
Another great video!!! And Daisy with Peanut just too cute...Happy Happy Easter, love Peggy 💚💙💜
Thanks for sharing this awesome two wheel experience! There's something to be thankful for and proud of. Thankfully the government had a eye looking to the future, and created these parks for all to experience and enjoy!!!
Cool! I have driven Trail Ridge many times, but never on a Motorcycle. A different perspective. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my Gosh, I like you four very much! (Daisy and Lucille too) :-)
Nice ride, great views, excellent editing and super super labeling. Really like the labeling...thanks for that.
Thank you for your adventures. My wife and I are older now and can't travel as much. I enjoy the videos
Awesome video! Great job editing Tara, as always. The m/c riding videos are my favorite.
So pretty! Thanks for putting a month on the video. It’s hard to plan when one has no idea of what climate to expect.
Did that ride last year the same time. We left Alabama, rode over to Durango and spent 10 days winding our way up to Sturgis. Loved it so much we spent another week riding back down through CO.
I pedalled my bicycle up the Fall River Road (dirt) and down Trail Ridge Road (paved), so, I too, enjoyed Rocky while sitting down, albeit more quietly.
One of your best videos. Amazing scenes, great editing. Don’t know whether I have ever told you, but I love that you have those flags on Lucille. I’m proud to be a navy vet, and I fly the flag at home, in the campground, and on my vehicles.
My family of 4 used to vacation in Estes Park every couple of years. One year we decided to go through the park early, drive to Grand Lake, and turn around back to Estes Park. We got to the Alpine Visitor Center and it was about 60. We were wearing jeans and t-shirts, and were carrying sweat shirts. A lot of families were there in muscle shirts, bikini tops, fashionable hiking shorts (not for real hiking), and sandals. A lot of them seemed to think we were "overdressed". About 10 minutes in, a cloud came over, the temperature dropped about 40 degrees, and the snow started. Lasted about 10 minutes, then the sun came back out and everything warmed up rapidly. My family and the rangers had a good laugh at the tourist.
Beautiful ride! Thanks for bringing us along!
Great vid! Amazing views. Thanks for sharing. Love that daisy💕💕💕…..& her buddy. 😍😍
I did this ride back in the late 70"s and back in the day the carburetors didn't compensate for altitude real well. We were going up the mountain and getting into a 20mph curve and the bike was loading up so I dropped a couple of gears and cranked the throttle. We were probably doing 20 but sounded like 100 as we rounded the curve and there were some road workers there, they scattered probably thinking some crazy biker was blasting through and going to hit somebody. It was pretty funny! They waved when they actually seen how fast we were going. An absolutely wonderful ride on a motorcycle.
Dang it, we missed you guys by just a month or so. We were there in June of 2021, (Granby and River Run). As a matter of fact it was my second video we ever made.
Just to let you know, those sticks on side of the road the snow covers them in the winter. Beautiful place, I grew up on the other side 30 minutes from Estes Park. Loveland, Colorado The sweetheart city
Awesome video, glad to see one with you back on the bike!!!!
I’m originally from Greeley, CO! Used to travel this road a lot!! Gorgeous! Did you have your bear spray? You should take Lucille up to the top of Pikes Peak, that’s 14,??? feet! I personally think GTSR is prettier. Keep having fun, the more you do and the more you show us the more goes on our bucket list!

Yaaay, new upload !
I have pictures all over my walls from visiting that park when we lived in Denver.
Wow what a beautiful day for a ride. Thanks for all the different views on the bike. You guys are awesome. Rocky mountain national park is definitely on my bucket list.
Great ride one of my favorites so beautiful stay safe.
Wow! I went through a year earlier before the fires. What a difference with the burnt out areas. Thanks for the video tour. Seen a few motorcycle waves coming at you in there. ( ✌ now flip this over).
I have riden my bike over the divide many times, and still love it.
You guys definitely picked the right day🌝. Gr8 content😎
You always find amazing places!!
I LOVE Trail Ridge Road!! I haven't been there since the fire. It looks a lot different than last time I was there. We've only driven over that road in the truck. I bet it was completely different on a motorcycle.
Love traveling with you both.
that was amaizing nature...
Awesome!!! More please.
Great looking ride!
Great ride. Great video!
Thanks for the ride along and video
I love it when you guys do more videos on Lucille that is my intentions in a few months to park my toy hauler in 1000 trails resort and go on to a three day adventure good job keep up the good work thank you for the videos my God bless
Awesome ride!
We went to Milner Pass from the Estes Park side in October. It was an awesome trip.
Beautiful video!!!
Thanks so much for an amazing video guys. This really makes me want to bring the Goldwing down from Canada to ride such a fantastic road. We live in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and ride these kinda roads all the time but not that high up, only up to 8000 vertical. The thoughts of being up at 12000 just blows me away.
Good one!... I thought the continental divide was the highlight!... and of course my wife and I live daisy!..lol
Chad & Tera, you guys are awesome, love your videos! Keep it up safe travels! I hope someday we can get together for a motorcycle ride.
Kind of jealous - I just sold my 05 Wing (it was causing shoulder and hip issues) but picked up an 11 Victory Cross Roads, but I haven't been able to take it out on any jaunts yet to enjoy it (and yes, I test road a Vic and found that I had zero of the previous problems). Love seeing you guys out on Lucille!
happy dogs
You guys are awesome !
Loved it! My Grandpa was an Indian dealer back in New York in the 20s, I believe. Glad to see their comeback. Question: why did the sign say no umbrellas? I didn't see any RVs on this road. Not recommended?
Simply beautiful. Thank you.
I so totally enjoyed today's video 4/17 /22 and all the videos 👍
I will be in that area in about a month so I will definitely have to check it out. Thank you for the video very pretty area.
The Fall River Road goes from the west side of the park to the Alpine Visitors Center and would be a terrific ride on your motorcycle. My vehicle was too long for the road but I took iy anyway. Several times, I could not make the corner and had to stop, back up, and pull forward again. it was even better than Trail Ridge Road! A motorcycle would be the ideal way to see it. (By the way, it is a one way road, going from west to east.)

Reminds us a little of Bear-tooth Hwy. We have done all three. They all are scary to me and gorgeous in their own way?!
Good one ... thanks
I did a lot of camping in that area in the late 60s on 4th of July we went sledding in snow I loved my childhood 😀
You guys rock!! Thanks for including the date.
Very beautiful scenery
We was there two years ago. Love that ride,
What an amazing ride shipmate ! Thanks as always for sharing with us all ! Lucille looks mighty fine in that sunlight !! We are heading to Glacier National Park in August and cant wait, we have ridden there from Seattle WA area several times, but will be first August trip for us, hoping to ride from east to west through St. Mary entrance, have tried a few times over Memorial Day weekend but pass closed due to snow. Have some friend from Boston meeting us in Spokane WA and riding with us. Take care and keep the rubber side down brother.... SENIOR CHIEF USN RET
Great Video. Happy Easter. Safe Travel
That was amazing as always, thanks for sharing this. It's kinda in my backyard since I live in northern Colorado. My husband and I have taken the motorcycle there and that's always fun. You two are fantastic people 😊
On a memorable motorcycle ride we stopped at a scenic overlook about half way and were approached by a guy driving a van. He said, "My wife is freaking out at the road and I only have about 1/8 tank of gas. Is there anything near here?" They may be divorced by now.
Love the the bike ride videos the best, thanks for the ride................JB..
Looks like it was a nice ride !
Absolutely a beautiful park. The first 25 miles are switch backs but not a problem but then we you start going up above the tree lines and there are no guard rails and a 6k drop it’s white knuckling. But then we were foolish to go down ver with a 26 ft travel trailer pulled by a 2500 Ram. Not our choice but got stuck between two fires and it was the only way to Estes Park. In other word don’t do it😂😂😂
Great video. I was there in July. Got some moose and elk pics. Alpine visitor center was totally packed. Hit great sand dunes and capuchin on the same trip.
Great video! We stayed at River Run the last two summers and love it. If you don't have a motorcycle and want a great experience on Trail Ridge Road you can rent a SlingShot in Grand Lakes for a fun over and back on TRR.
Here's an FYI for ya regarding Bear Spray: It's purpose is to occupy your mind in the last moments of your life. You can thank me later for this pro tip. See ya out there on the road (fuel pricing permitting).
You should have checked out the gift shop and restaurant at the very highest point. Lots of cool stuff for sale ……
Wait people actually watch your videos for RV tips? I'm only here for Daisy 😂. Jokes aside I love your channel, you're very close to convincing me to go full time RVing, just need to find one in the UK.
❤️
😎❤️👍
Awesome video. We are coming to Colorado in May. Doing the miliion dollar highway returning from Utah. Hope to meet and greet someday
Great video👍❤️, love it. I just wish this video would last at least 3x longer. Sorry for being selfish ☺️
Great video. Oh my you didn’t go to the grand lake lodge and have a drink on the front porch swings. From bills cool projects on youtube here in Colorado.
Thank you for sharing with us We are going to do something’s this summer But we are looking for our retirement properties. So we will have a place to explore. We are just starting out.
Nice Roadmaster!
Amazing ride great video Does the bike run any differently and the high altitude thanks from Wisconsin
So my wife was looking you'll up the other night, seems you and I have a Navy history together. CAG 2 at Miramar was my first duty station from Jan 1992 to September 1995.

Hello! My wife and I have been watching you for years and you are both so inspiring and you knowledge and insight has been so helpful over the years. We have done a few projects on our Solitude because we watched you do it. We were lucky enough to get in to the Grand Design National Owners Rally in Late August this year. Just wondering if you were planning on going? If so we look forward to meeting you. If not, we want to tell you how much we appreciate all the time and effort you put into your videos and all that you BOTH do to help RVers make the most of their RV and surroundings. I was in the Bear Aces from roughly 89-92. VAW-120 before that. We might have crossed paths. I was an AT-2.
Trail Ridge is one of my favorite rides. Only 120 miles from our house. As for the fire, it's not tragic other than it should have happened years ago. Fire is part of our ecosystem that was deemed evil. Just look at parts of Yellowstone for the rejuvenation of the forest.
Lucille is beautiful. Thanks for the bike ride. I loved it and the music. Totally fun.
The highest point of trail ridge road is not 11,500 ft, but just short of 12,200 ft. And treeline is about 11,200 ft.
We really need to allow the forest service to manage the forests and stop all of the tree huggers lawsuits.
Glad you enjoyed your ride, looks fun. If you don't mind me asking, I just installed the Reese M5 hitch on our '22 Ford F350. It's the 27k hitch, and for the life of me, can't figure out where the 3rd bolt goes. I see the hole on top of the other 2, but can't get bolt in it. I'm using the middle holes on each side.
@ChangingLanes
2 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's an extra bolt? I don't remember if there are just 2 bolts... You might try reaching out to Reese...
