Tragic Details About Joan Jett

Ойын-сауық

Plenty of rock legends have had to fight tooth and nail to get to the top, but few have had to fight as hard or as many times over as Joan Jett has. From the time she first picked up a guitar, she was told that women couldn’t do rock and roll, which she would prove wrong time and time again. Jett found success with her all-female rock band the Runaways, but she continued to face sexism, and the band suffered multiple tragedies in their short time together. Let’s take a look at some tragic details about the life of Joan Jett.

She had one of her guys tell us if we stayed after the concert and waited for people to leave she would say hello. I was floored when he let us on her bus just inside the front in the stairwell. Then she came out spoke with us for a good 5 minutes signed autographs. And even gave us a hug. It was awesome. A few years ago, I went to a concert in Auburn, WA with Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, and Heart. My BFF and I were anxious to see Heart again (my third time, her third, as well, but not the same shows), as well as Cheap Trick. Neither of us seemed too interested in Joan's set. We wound up eating crow. Her set was actually the best set of the entire show. Cheap Trick basically sucked, and Heart had some behind the scenes family issues that sent them into a 3-year hiatus so their set wasn't their best. Joan's set was clean, fluid, and ran like a well-oiled machine. It was amazing. I'd go see her again in a blackheart beat...

As is Joan, a woefully under appreciated Goddess of Rock, and an undeniable Legend in her own right.

The last rockstar of my generation, and greatly enjoy her music....and I also grew up and still listen to older country music. Music in all formats tell stories on a wide subject list. Joan pounded it out loud and great. My wish to her, enjoy life and keep rockin'.

Kim Vincent Fowley (July 21, 1939 - January 15, 2015) was an American record producer, singer, songwriter and musician. He is best known for his role behind a string of novelty and cult pop rock singles in the 1960s, and for managing the Runaways in the 1970s. He has been described as "one of the most colorful characters in the annals of rock & roll", as well as "a shadowy cult figure well outside the margins of the mainstream".[1] Born in Los Angeles, California, United States,[2] Fowley was the son of character actor Douglas Fowley and actress Shelby Payne.[3] His parents later divorced and Payne married William Friml, son of composer Rudolf Friml.[4] Fowley attended University High School at the same time as singers Jan Berry and Dean Torrence (later of Jan and Dean fame), Bruce Johnston (later of the Beach Boys), and Nancy Sinatra, as well as actors Ryan O'Neal, James Brolin, and Sandra Dee.

Joan Jett is not simply a musician. There's something called geo-politics. During the last part of the Cold War, Joan and the b.h.s did a gig in East Germany. The gates went down and the commissars couldn't control the crowd. SO, in my mind, she deserves an award for helping the Berlin Wall go down. Hint hint, Powers that be. Pennsylvania has the highest density of German-Americans and the Kecksburg Bell flew in from 1944 in 1965, so they say. Love you, Joan, I do r&b be a little. Thanks for the positive attitude and helping change this sorry-assed excuse for a world.
