The municipality of Bocaue in the province of Bulacan is known as the “Fireworks Capital of the Philippines''. One fateful night in July 1993, the townspeople of Bocaue experienced irony to this moniker in the most tragic way, claiming the lives of hundreds of devotees aboard the sinking Pagoda.
