I would still recommend making turning pockets with the asymmetric roads to improve traffic flow on (what looks to be) major arterial roads like these. Additionally, your pedestrian overpasses seem to not actually connect every side of the road to every other, meaning you still get a few pedestrians crossing without the zebra crossing, because they "have no choice". They should however always prefer separated pathways, especially if they can avoid at-grade crossings. The new traffic mod is glorious, but there is still a lot of improvement one can do without it, especially since it's such an early build with relatively limited functionality. I can recommend the Traffic Lights Enhancement Alpha mod for playing around with other-than-default traffic light patterns, possibly in conjunction with this new Traffic mod to really achieve granular control (or at least as granular as we can at this stage)

most of the traffic wants to turn instead of going straight through. Obviously a roundabout is going to work better. They usually always work better anyway.

They shouldn't, though, because this is too high capacity of an intersection to warrant it.

not really, roundabout isnt great when most traffic want to turn. incoming road from above should just have green to turn left when main road has green to turn right, and another lane would help as well. roundabouts arent good for a lot of traffic.

They drive on the wrong side of the road.

He has the left hand traffic option enabled. In some countries like the UK and Australia people drive on the left side of the road.
