Helps to know the road rules before you start actively altering them on the job... Also, they do more than just flip a sign. They risk their necks everyday in rain or shine for sometimes 12 hrs a shift standing there watching tens of thousands of vehicles fail to follow signs and cones. It's one of the most mentally demanding and physically dangerous jobs one can take on. THAT is why they are paid a premium. Even then, it's only still 35% below national average in my state. So quit your fucking whining and go back to your study desk or some shit.
