Traditional dirty carpet cleaning full of slime / ASMR rug washing

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hello Friends!
Here l am again with a heavily soiled old carpet. The carpet was deeply soiled and it was really difficult to clean it.
There was a topic frequently mentioned in the comments. Suggestions were made about washing the backof the carpet first. l wanted to show this in a pratical way.
Do you think this method had a positive or negative effect on cleaning the carpet?

    Incredible. All your carpets start off as a solid mass of mud and end up impeccable. No stains, discolourations, fading, bald patches, no holes, cigarette burns or even tattered edges. Apparently they are all brand new and dragged through the mud.

    They come from people homes and they are flood damaged. He has stated this plenty of times and he sometimes shows footage of the flood damaged homes in several of his videos in the beginning.

    @@TrinaRuss25 It's not the mud, it's that the carpets are all pristine underneath. Carpets that are not shop new have wear & tear on them: they fade, they stain, there's a pulled thread, or some damage to the pile.

    It could be because the tattered, cigarette burned, discolored, bald patched ones…aren’t worth saving or worth cleaning. I wouldn’t pay money for an old, damaged rug to be cleaned. These videos are to be viewed obviously, but it is also his business. And I’ve seen some of his videos where the carpets have been soiled and some with tattered edges and some literally falling apart as he’s trying to clean them.

    These guys are in UK. If you have never visted NZ UK or JP then you won't know that small island nations have mildew and mold everywhere. They never dry out. Surrounded by water. Smell is recognisable when you land. So you have decades of mold and dirt and mud and flood damage

    Because, they’re just carpets. Hand me downs usually. You stick them in the garage, back yard, etc. then, somebody realizes hey! I had one rolled up in the (at least) garage that was a cat sleeping place. My SIL put hers in the back yard, as a rug for her sitting place. It was NOT out of the rain. It’s on the side of the house. Who knows? It’s like everything else grandma gives you, you know?

    A bunch come from flooded homes too, He's shown a few before pics/videos before the cleaning starts on some of the videos, not all that surprising when you really think about it though, someone's gotta clean stuff that's been through flooding, some of these carpets are likely worth a fair bit of money too, probably a whole lot cheaper to just pay someone to clean it rather than trying to replace it.

    Watching him clean the floor is the best part. There are no end of carpet cleaning videos where they dont clean the floor and start cleaning the other side of the carpet in dirty 10:34 water totally pointless! You can tell he cares about doing a great job by cleaning the floor so frequently.

    How did the carpet get so filthy dirty? And so beautiful when you’re done. Almost think you put rug in mud intentionally and then made a video. Why no wear and tear or rot after being in mud for so many years? No damage to me looks phony for video sake

  • @upliftstv

    @upliftstv

    Flood damage seems most likely. This guy sometimes says where he got the rug, and when he does it’s almost always from flooded homes or warehouses. Which makes sense, you say it looks like it’s just been sitting in mud, that’s essentially exactly what happens in a flood-damaged house, it’s just soaking in sewage and mud until the floodwater recedes.
