Eight traditional canoes of Federated States of Micronesia sailed to Guam where the Festival of Pacific Arts would be held. This video covers the exciting atmosphere of the 1st day of the Festival on board one of the canoes Koputei of Polowat and from the traditional canoes welcome ceremony site.

I watch this festival, as a sailor, the details on the Polynesian proams and I believe that God will help the young people to continue the traditions and customs of their grandparents. Today, in the capitalist West, young people are not interested in the past, they put grandparents in homes and they run after money. Here in Croatia, schools for traditional shipbuilding are opened and tourists are taken on these boats. Unfortunately, it only lasts 3-4 months. I imagine that with you it could last the whole year, driving tourists to your beautiful beaches, coves, lagoons, with a decent income to maintain those Pros.
