it can be income and expenses. if its on the debit side its rent expense while the credit side it is rent income

You need to calculate the closing stock Remember the Cost of sale = Opening stock + purchase - closing stock. Therefore Make the closing stock subject of the formular. Closing stock = opening stock + purchase - Cost of sale

I haven't use it, since it affect the balance sheet or statement of financial position. if the question was to require balance sheet Also I could have Post it under current liabilities

I don't mean to correct you sir but rent is an expense to the business hence, it has to be debited in the trial balance.
