Trading KD to Warriors won't serve Nets, Nick on Donovan Mitchell trade odds & QB Pyramid | THE HERD

Спорт

Nick Wright joins Colin Cowherd as trade rumors swirl around the NBA during the offseason. Watch as he lays out why Kevin Durant getting traded with the Golden State Warriors won't be much of a win for the Brooklyn Nets, despite whispers that Steph Curry has been reaching out to KD about a possible reunion. Plus, the two discuss the New York Knicks as a possible landing spot for Donovan Mitchell, who's looking to get traded off the Utah Jazz roster. Plus, Nick defends Giannis Antetokounmpo, who in his opinion, is clearly head and shoulders the best NBA player in the league. Finally, Nick reveals his quarterback pyramid to Colin Cowherd, and the two review Nick's ratings.

Again Nick seems to be completely oblivious to the actual point... 70s 80s 90s had the absolute best and most dominant centers in NBA history. Centers that played in the BOX. Giannis has the least amount of competition to deal with in this new Era of play. The bigs now don't play in the box... where Giannis scores 90% of his points.. So, Nick, again, you missed me with that fluffanutter logic.

Giannis will be disrespected in the same manner that Tim Duncan was disrespected when he played. They didn't care about other's opinions. He just cared about winning, being coached and was willing to stay his entire career in a small market team. But then they weren't raised in today's AAU basketball world. Yes, technically Tim Duncan is an American because St. Croix is an American territory. But the culture is very Caribbean.

Giannis is underrated. He won a championship in Milwaukee… that alone makes him an all time great in my book. He’s definitely top 3 player in the world and at 27 seems to be getting even better. If he can win another 2 rings in Milwaukee and couple more mvps he starts to be an all time great somewhere in the top 10 IMO.

Kyler is top 12 top 10 talent but he looked GOD AWFUL last year against the rams i cant remember a QB looking that bad in the playoffs. I think if you get Kuminga, Moody and one of Wiseman/Poole, the later picks (‘26, ‘28, ‘30) could potentially be valuable considering KD, Steph and Klay will be in their 40s by then. I think Wiggins, Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman, plus 4 picks and 3 swaps is excellent value, it’s just a question of moving Simmons.

That's way too much to give up for KD at this point in his career. You'd literally be gutting the team outside your starting lineup, and have zero draft picks moving forward. At best I'd say Wiggins, two of the young guys (preferably Wiseman being one of them since he's unproven) and a couple picks/swaps.

The funny thing about this KD trade is that if you were going to give all that up, you might as well call the 76ers or bucks and try and get embiid or Giannis to GSW to actually break the league proper. Why would you give up your future when you are already favourite to win next year running it back? But if you could get a dominant centre which would complete the warriors they would legit 3peat.
