From a DC fan to PDX fans: YOU GOT A STAR IN AVDIJA! He has great vision, if you'll have a pass first offense he will thrive, and his hockey assists are off the charts, don't waste him with ball hogs! Also, he's a good slasher, get some spacing. All you need are _reasonable_ shooters and passers, and you'll have the most unselfish star you had in decades, don't do it and he'll be wasted

Trade Grant to the Nets, for their number one next year, and we do not to worry about making the playoffs, and in all likelihood, we could have two chances to capture the Flagg.

cooper is better, but saying he is more athletic than ace is ridiculous. they both seem to go 1 and 2. And don't forget that tanking doesn't always pan out. ask Pistons. first 20 games we need to compete, just to trade grant ant and maybe Ayton on their highest. cause I just don't see us trading them this offseason.
the problem is we could have the worst record in the league and we still won't get the first pick.

yes that's the reason it's a great league. not a big diffrence betweens the last 4 teams (0.8%) and almost 50% to not get 1-4 picks. you want to help the weakest team without letting them tank. Anyway Blazers are too good to be last in the league, maybe last in the west with some fake injuries.
Please teach me your mental anti-sweating skill Torey!!

@@BlazersUpriseI think what Torey is trying to say is, “I get great sleep and feel rested with the Manta COOL Sleep Mask. The cooling gel eye cups helps you stay cool and your eyes will ‘feel well-rested within minutes.’ That’s my anti-sweating skill.”

Haha thanks. I’ll have to try both!
While I am sure Flag will be the number one pick, still a bit early to tell, not denying his skills, but what happens if someone like Ace just kills it this season and Flagg drops, or what happens if he gets injured. One problem I have with the NBA is the hype for one player each class, while they might be great the NBA really puts so much in it. Grant and Simons trade, would be okay with Grant for 1 first rounder, second round and a trade. Simons for black and a second rounder. Just because we did not hear about an offer for Simons from the Pens does not mean there was not one, we do not work for the team. Sharpe, yes injured, remember this. Also, a big problem was how much time Sharpe had to play and not always in his natural position. I am tired of people saying oh last season he was not good, take into account what happened to him and what he dealt with. Same with Henderson, people who are down on him now were super up on him going into the season because they expected and put too much on a rookie kid. If after three seasons he is still the same as his rookie season, then you can talk about it.
Grant's contract averages $33 million a year for the next four years, while Kuzma averages $21 million for the next three years. Kings just signed DeRozen, so Kuzma contract wise makes more sense for the Kings. Plus, Kuzma getting more open looks with DeRozen, Fox, Sabonis, Monk, and Murray, so Kuzma's 3pt % would go up with the Kings.
15:31 I remember Ben Simmons getting a lot of hype but his failings are more mental than physical. Despite his lack of stardom and his decline, he was a decent player for a few years. Edit: I can’t believe I just defended Ben Simmons.

@@marcwhite9234 but many would consider him to be a bust at his current age of 27.
Grant needs to be traded just dew to the rebuild time line. If someone pay enough fir Simons It wouldn't be bad move. but not for chips.
Barring career ending injury, Cooper Flagg will be the number one pick next year.
Hey Pels fan would u guys consider BI and CJ for Williams , Simons and Grant?

Hello, Unfortunately that's a no for me. Maybe if other teams got involved but I don't have much interest in CJ or BI in the Blazers position.
Simmons and Wiggins were like hands down #1 guys who didnt live up to hype

@@ahy1798 Simmons was rookie of the year who got lazy and hurt after. Wiggins still has elite skills but doesn’t have the desire to be elite, but the talent is there. What we learn from that is that mental toughness and work ethic counts. Cooper Flagg is putting in the work, so I don’t think he’ll bust. Like every Jordanesque type player, the Blazers have no chance of getting him. Like AD when New Orleans was up for sale, the NBA will make sure Flagg goes to the “right” market.
To be fair I think people have been saying Portland is gonna be patient with grant for awhile..
Torey why not get a portable AC?

Send Simon’s to OKC, get draft capital and a young asset in return
Do you think there’s any possibility the Bucks would entertain a Middleton/Grant swap as part of a three team deal? I feel like Jerami should have more value than Khris due to his age, injury history, perimeter shooting, and ability to play off ball-dominant stars, but I have no idea
@jonathanevers8019

Here’s my full rationale: I think Jerami would be a better fit on the Bucks. They had injury problems, he’s better playing off the ball around high-gravity stars but can handle the ball himself, and his secondary rim protection will help if they do end up trading Lopez. Jerami is also friends with Dame and, with all the problems they had last year making the fit work after adding Dame, I think it would be a huge plus to bring in someone he likes and knows how to play with To me, Jerami should have more value than Khris. If this is the case, I think there’s a seamless three-team deal with the Lakers in which every team gets what they want. Bucks get an upgrade who’s younger, less injury prone, and brings them down a couple million dollars if they want to get under the second apron or just save ownership some money. Lakers get a big-name former all star who plays a position of need and wouldn’t cost both their picks like Jerami would. And the Blazers diversify their portfolio by getting picks from two different aging teams who are likely to be bad in 5 years. A deal could look like Jerami to MIL, Khris, Reath, and Banton to LAL, Rui, Vincent, and Vando to POR. Bucks and Lakers shed salary while Blazers stay just under the tax and every team sends/receives the same number of players. Vincent could be a good vet guard, see how Rui fits on the roster, and probably move Vando somewhere else. Pick compensation would depend on the relative value of Grant/Khris… could be a 2031 swap from Milwaukee and a pick from LA, or a 2032 pick from Milwaukee and a swap from LA If Khris has more value than Grant then I think this could still happen, but with the warriors instead of the lakers. Could be the warriors all in move with Wiggins and Moody (or GP2weeks to be immediately flipped if the warriors really want to shed $. Not sure if he severed his relationship with Dame but could be a good fit on paper with the bucks) as the outgoing salary, and a chunk of the draft capital going to Milwaukee that could be attached to Brook to shore up their depth around Dame/Giannis/Jerami

@@jonathanevers8019 Like the thinking, but I'd be surprised from the Bucks perspective. Plus why wouldn't the 3rd team ask for Grant too?
@jonathanevers8019

@@ericbrandt5295 why would you be surprised if the bucks did it? Because of Khris’ relationship with the team/Giannis? And in this case it would be because the asking price for Jerami would be too much for the Lakers but Khris might be getable for a more palatable asking price

@@ericbrandt5295 they still would. It would just be split between the Bucks and the Lakers. For instance, if the minimum they would take is a first, a swap, and Rui, they could still get the first and Rui from the Lakers while the swap would come from the Bucks to account for the (what I believe to be an) upgrade from Khris to Jerami
