Tractor/Truck Pulling Fails/Breakage Compilation 2016/2017
Спорт
This is a compilation of clips from various pulling shows that I filmed in 2016 and 2017 showing the fails and breakage that can occur in the sport. Sometimes, tractor/truck pulling can be costly, and this is a perfect example of how often it can happen. A blower belt for example, costs around $300 to replace, and you'll see a number of those go in this video.
I gathered my clips from the NTPA, WMPullers, Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League shows for this video.

I like the pocket sized fire extinguishers. .
0:26 "just that quickly we are out with fire extinguishers, aka fire extinguishers" seen that clip 100 times and it still makes me laugh

Hahaha what does he mean by that? If he said that as a joke, that’s hilarious hahaha
My Dad always said "If you can't afford to break them, you can't afford to run them." That's why I stay my ass in the stands.

0:34 tht light when the boost was just right....man tht was so cool!
Those minis bring back fond old memories! My dad used to run one and hauled me all over. They were so fun to watch!
Not to say the ones that explode aren't amazing, but the ones that make me laugh the hardest are when [one of] the engines literally pop out of their housings. There's so much _force_ and _power_ in that moment that they literally tear themselves out of the vehicle! Also, that moment when the trailer has more inertia and mass than the tractor pulling it.

You can literally see the torque in those moments.

You don't really appreciate how much power those vehicles are using to pull the drag until you see some of those very dramatic fails.

9:12 Anyone else notice the irony of a truck named, "Dynamite Dave", "The Detonator" toasting a second engine? (listen to the announcer)
Yeah, I understand that weight is important on minipullers but many of those front suspensions are just way too flimsy.
@Renville80
5 жыл бұрын
Samira Peri when the engine puts out enough torque that the front of the tractor is off the ground anyway, there’s not as much a need for a suspension, but yeah, they definitely need to plan better for that unexpected loss of power and the front end coming back down to earth faster than planned. 😄
@thecman26

Yeah totally not needed and weight is too important!
3:36 "thats aluminum you saw right there" fucking shots fired lmao
Só eu que acho satisfatório assistir esses video ? Kkk
2:27 yaba daba dooo
Those stupidly-small front wheels. Hilarious.
5:08 - THE GUY IN GRAY: "MEDIC!!!"
Game over
Not trying to sound snarky but it must be nice to have your engine catch on fire and to just sit there calmly waiting for the crash crew to fumble around trying to find a fire extinguisher while your engine burns. I understand about being calm and not losing your head but seeing wires and lines, distributer caps, belts and other stuff getting toasted.........that's a lot of money to me. Like I said, must be nice.
Good grief those mini tractors are just insane, along with the folks who drive them, the last thing I would want to get on is a tiny little tractor making at least 1500 hp hook heaven knows how much weight to the back and start pulling at 7000 RPM. It makes me wonder just how many successful pulls they ever make with these?
4:15 lucky it was only the aluminum driveshaft and not the tail shaft of the transmission
Oh, he's got that fancy new self adjusting toe.
What kind of truck body is that at .25 second's How did it raise by itself?
Leave it to the GM to lose the entire front end 🤣🤣🤣
not bad for a chevy to brakedown even before it starts to pull
"Blowed up real good good."
1:08 That's a weak point on a Ford. I broke one, and I wasn't even doing a pull. But I guess better to break there than other possible locations.
2:20 now that’s a REAL *HOT* ROD
How much power and torque this monsters have?)))

it's a weight sled. as they go down the track the weight slides forward and gets heavier and heavier
$50.000 in the motor, $150 in the front axle.
Wooooooow
:50 Don't ya know that if you are pulling with truck semi....when you blow the engine at the end of the run.....the hood is supposed to flop forward??? Don't you have a device for doing that trick???
Waaaaay too much money wasted!!! LOL!
Jeez some of these are minor while a lot more involve fire and several things breaking down
Ford trucks, the best never rest. They do
1:54 quite made me laugh.
A lot of money going to shit in less than a second.
I love how these guys have dumped over 100s of thousands of dollars into these single, double and triple motor set ups when the big ole steam engine comes out and shows ya that all ya need a little torque to pull these. Power means shit

In Australia tractor pulls consist of a few farmers with their old Fordson Majors and Fergie's. We want what you blokes have. Our drag and sprint car racing is on par tho..

I know nitrous is used in the pulling world but in most organizations it is prohibited. Typically you don't use nitrous in conjunction with a supercharger. Not saying that may not be the case here but I would lean to the unlikely side.

I see some basic rule and preperation dramas with these 'things' The dumb little tiny wheels and axles on 'tractors' that break off all the time, And absolutely no firewalls between the driver and engine. A lack of tailshaft loops, this vid alone of 3 tailshafts on the ground. Basic prep on all forms of motorsport
Cracks me up when they put in the trucks that break a drive shaft!!! Like thats s dramatic event. Probably had FGL playing on the radio also.

just love all these fake truck enthusiast talk shit about all the different truck brands. A real truck guy or girl likes all trucks👌
I could never understand why the machines are built in this way. Are the contestants awarded points for how fast they go? I mean; what they have built is essentially a racing tractor, which makes as much sense as a glass-bottom submarine. They build a "tractor" with five supercharged engines, pumping out thousands of horsepower, and then remove most of the tread from (only) two drive wheels, which cannot transfer that power to the ground. It seems that traction is the limiting factor, not power. These engineering geniuses have put many thousands of dollars int these machines only to throw soil at the end of a not-very-impressive pull. The expertise in common agricultural engineering is completely ignored in favor of copying something they saw at the dragstrip. For all the money and time invested, they could have purchased a real tractor with about 300 horsepower and lots more traction, if pulling the sled is what they wanted to do. Sure, there's lots of noise, smoke, and drama, but for me, I'm just glad I'm not helping to pay for this circus.
@jaxtontrinh9415
6 жыл бұрын
James Surber it's who ever go the farthest. Ex. 300ft is full pull. Say there is 4 drivers. 2 out of the 4 get over 300ft. Those two go to the pull off. If they get 300 again. Than another full pull this goes on till 1 of the 2 drivers gets less than 300 feet
@Renville80
5 жыл бұрын
James Surber it’s who can pull the sled the farthest. What you may not have noticed is the movable weight on the pulling sled that changes the center of gravity to produce a rapidly increasing load for the tractor. I believe some tractor companies also take an interest in the results of some of these pulls (particularly if the tractor is mostly stock) to be aware of potential weak points in their design.
Tractor pull tractors are for people with to much money and nothing else to do with it !!!! 🤔🤔🤔
This is the height of American intelligence.... big engine.... no engineering... full throttle .... Big Bang.... 😂🤣
