Thanks for your video. I fixed mine quickly with canned air. Just a couple of sprays around the edges of my track pad, and it's working great again. Fortunately, I didn't have to open it at all. So those with stuck or sticky track pads might want to try that first.

I have some problem with my laptop. The touchpad kinda frezzes in between and it does not moves also whenever I watch any videos on KZread it's getting skipped automatically even when I am not using touchpad. I tried disabling the touchpad and tried to connect external mouse but the problem still remain.also when I try to play any video in vlc the video plays for 1 second and then it restarts the same video and this continues. This is a recurring problem. What should I do. I tried every possible fix like updating drivers, external mouse but nothing seems to work

Great tips thanks. Had a scare with my Chromebook this morning. Was watching KZread when the screen went black but sound kept on playing. Wouldn't respond to the On/off button or keyboard but fortunately when I plugged in power supply I got it going again so probably low battery, though it had 12% showing. The one thing that REALLY bothers me about my Acer Chromebook is that the battery power indicator is tiny, and when it is low it goes red not white, so even harder to see. It would be so easy to have a pop-up like other laptops. I have told them about it but nothing changes.

If anyone has this problem. Just get a suction cup and place it on the pad and pull. I used the suction cup from my shower scrub

I fixed the problem for myself by sliding a thin notecard into the small outline between the touchpad and the Chromebook and it moved whatever caused the touchpad to jam out and it works perfectly fine again.

Not saying its a great fix, but I was able to pry the touchpad about 1-2cm and then i blew on it. works great now. sure there is prob a piece of plastic but quick fix/workaround.

He said gently and proceeded to not be gentle 😂😂😂😂

first try a little machine oil around it, not alot. let it soak in, after 5 minutes mine started working! :0)

A quicker method is cleaning the touchpad with wipes then u give it a decent punch from behind the pad (I used my phone) then done ur finished

I just hit my trackpad lightly with my knuckles and its fixed!!!

Other solution, make a fist and at the top right corner of your trackpad put pressure and it should pop back up and work

You can try reset the chrome OS and see if that would fix the issue. Press Esc + Refresh + Power button, then press Ctrl + D and hit Enter.. If this doesn't fix, you have to follow the steps shown in this video. If it's school or work provided chromebook, better bring it to IT people to fix the issue.. good luck

I searched this up because my trackpad was just stuck clicking but my problem was that I had literally bent it
