@@michaelbrown9031 I’d say that’s almost certain lol I think I remember in gran Turismo 5 prologue they had best motoring videos in the game and the camera angles on Tsukuba are just like best motoring Also in Gran Turismo 7 they have a new replay angle that is exactly like the in car cameras in all best motoring videos

I had a 95 prelude si stock non vtec. Beat integra gsr all the time, unless they were modded. I miss that car, lots of fond memories in it.

Looks so fun to be out there pushing these stock cars to the limit. My golden age of sports cars. So much love for all of these models.

For a "NOT EVO", the Lancer GSR was really good.... I didn't expect that.

Those were very light cars 2579 lbs (1170 kg), not being overweight helps a lot

The supra whipping it thru the corners getting sideways was awesome :D

Cars like Nsx, Rx7, MR2 and 300 Zx will never get old.

As the owner of two of them (had a 1980 5 speed manual and still have a 94 auto), I can tell you that most people underestimate them. Those are really good cars, not only for their time period but now as well. They will surprise you. Once I get home from this deployment, I am going to look into a 3SGTE swap. Even the wife has signed off on this one....with the understanding that she gets to drive it as well. lol

@@timothymarshall2365 You won’t regret a 3sgte swap. My 1998 was making 320whp with a 3rd gen 3sgte swap with just bolt ons and tune. It Will be making 400+ early 2021 with forged motor, cams and e85. Though saying that, I also own an st205 GT4 and a 3sgte swap can’t hold a candle to a GT4 in traction and handling in an application like this video

Wow did not expect to see the Honda Prelude beat the Mitsubishi Lancer at the very end. Impressive. Honda Integra, Toyota Celica, Honda Prelude, Nissan Silvia, and Toyota MR2 are all cool.

Imagine being one of these drivers, back in the day...

I was singularly impressed with how well the GSR held up within the first few laps. 1.8L 4G93T, and barely over 200PS. Also, 0:40 - 1:15 REEKS of nostalgia

I'm from 2002 and also love jdm cars. Got my license recently and didnt want nothing else than a JDM car. so i bought an mr2 hahaha. everytime i walk out i cant resist the urge to look back at it and be happy with it. everythings been stock/restored and been well kept. Just need to change the transmission since it creaks when going back to 2nd and the car seats are a little bit worn. planning on doing some changes on it to make it more mine and personalized!

A Gran Turismo 1 race at it's finest!

As a FD lover, I didn't expect to FD that good, it handles so well

I love my FD more than any other car, but I fully expected the NSX to pass. The NSX appeared to enter corners faster, but its hard to top the acceleration of the FD.

What a fabulous run up. I thought the NSX is going to catch the RX 7 but that driver drove like hell. Exceptional but disciplined drivers, respect each other and still race hard. I especially looked carefully at the 300ZX with it's 4-wheel-steering ability. Only slightly better than the GTO , not bad. Awesome series, Thank you.

Why do you say that? I tracked my old 1992 Prelude 4WS with an H22 swap and it was awesome! The track is where Hondas shine. Not drag racing.

Lol. Nothing wrong with them, just shouldn’t have been in this race lol. Everyone getting stuck behind him allowed the rx7 and NSX to get such a huge lead that it wasn’t even a race.

Nice save at 7:13. Pretty sweet race all pretty close except, max and type r. Super cars in disguise

I've got an FD and I love it. Though I still expected the NSX to pass. This race was incredibly enjoyable to watch!

Tires were bad on the cars (in today's standard). Have they had better tires from late 90s, the result would be different.

THE MR2 AND GT4 ARE SO UNDERRATED ESPECIALLY THE MR2. I HAD ONE AND WITH 490HP IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE ROCKET ! ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE HP POTENTIAL IS MUCH HIGHER WITH THE 3SGTE OR EVEN K SWAPS.

My buddy’s step dad had a 89 white non turbo manual with burgundy interior 20 years ago. Man the memories of driving that car. I raced a silver Lotus up Allen road did 240kms and I was in love with that car.

I love this like the other guys said this is pure Gran turismo

God 90s tires were absolutely worthless back then. Even in stock form those 90s cars will keep up with today’s cars (within the same power weight ratio.). If you just put modern rubber on them.

100% true! Look at the 1/4 mile times around 13 seconds. Compare it to CARWOW's dragrace battles. Today's cars need a lot more than 300 horsepower to go under 13 seconds

Some of the drifting that those guys held was crazy

Its so amazing to see a Lude fighting agains the monster rx7,nsx,gtr. I own a h22a 96 and i love it i Will never sell it.

Damn, was thinking about a cheap, fun, 90s JDM second car and this popped up, man it bumps up me wanting a Celica/Prelude even more 😬😬

Same ! Especially for an MR2 GT with 240hp... plus it’s MR... so it should have been so much better in corners... I guess tires and driver make a big difference...

1:08:70 vs 1:08:74 that's not a difference, its almost the same lap hence RX7 have the better driver. Also the NSX is the base 3.0 5 speed..

@@Jaredscott89 only on this race. Official lap times are much faster on the NSX. Also this is a base 3.0 5 speed NSX against a RX7 type R and its still faster. Imagine a 3.2 type S or R.

Cant understand anything, but still so much more enetertaining than many other car shows

What was the final order? It wasnt all written in english so I couldnt tell.

Because of this infamous track featured in this series, I somewhat became quite proficient when racing in this track in Gran Turismo 😅
