Tracee Ellis Ross Reveals Why ”Girlfriends” Was FORCEFULLY CANCELED.
Tracee gave the real reason why the show ended, and it was heartbreaking. She claimed that the sitcom, though popular in black communities, received little support outside of it. She explained that the show was unpopular among other communities; thus, the producers thought it wise to cut it off. She shared that the lack of support, coupled with the fact that the cast and crew were predominantly black, didn’t help matters.

I am white, and I loved that show, I used to watch all those sitcoms.
I loved that show. I’m not black & loved a lot of shows that were black productions, or completely black cast. I used to watch them regularly. They were my favorite shows. Girlfriends, Martin, Cosby, A different World, Moesha, Living Single, Different Colors, The Jefferson’s ( a classic)😊 those are the ones, I can remember. I think it’s sad that people can’t enjoy a funny show or a good movie if the majority cast is black. Shame on us.

It’s because unseen forces are seriously not trying to united humanity.. They are trying to keep people separate to create unfairness and discord.. Pray for Jesus to come.. We are to far gone for humanity to do it alone.. We need Jehovah… ❤️

In living color came out first, put the Wayans on the map, research sucks.
I loved this show. Tony leaving did change the dynamic though.

Mara is Gifted, along with Sarah Finney-Johnson, Yvette Lee Bowman, Andrea Wiley, Susan Fales, Julie Dash, Sheila Duckworth, Ava Duvenay, Tracee Ellis Ross, Debbie Allen, Dawna Michelle and of course Shonda Rhymes as well as many others. These ladies are jewels and gems that should be stranded together as one gift to not only the black community but to the entire GLOBE. Let us keep them in PRAYER so that they will continue to operate in wit, humility and purpose, keeping their ears to GOD's voice. They are appreciated-

Yeah I’ve seen reports of how he’s not faring too well …. Sure is shameful how many of our GOOD actors aren’t picked for NEW ROLLS and left to spiral 🥲
We loved this show. My daughters are adults now, and they watch the reruns with me. We enjoy them. A reunion woud be awesome and weare here for it.

Girlfriends “ending” still GMFU! They need to do it!! Give them the ending they deserve.
I loved Girlfriends and I think that now there is Sistas but still room for this series too 😮😅❤
They should get reunion girlfriend's show was great
When Kelsey Grammar's name came off the show, the show went down hill. It when from a comedy to drama. The same thing happened with The Game, it also went from Comedy to drama. Which is when both shows failed.

This is why I watch a lot of African movies on KZread, which are so good. I get sick of the white, unrealistic white hallmark movies, goofy, and not funny, so-called comedies. All those weird ass horror movies, or one man tough killer dude movie... It's sickening. These white movies don't appeal to me, and I will not watch them. Streaming made it awesome where I can watch movies like Queen Latifah Equalizer whenever I want, and if I want reach back into the 70s and 80s for a good movie I can do that too.

It's just sad that Tracee Ellis Ross in her pain has to try to take down another Black Woman Mara Brock Akil.
Jill left so it wasn’t the same.
