Trace Adkins Semper Fi | Metal / Rock Fan Reaction with Horse Soldier Commander's Select

This seemed like an appropriate tune for reaction on September 11th. Marine and friend hear Trace Adkins Semper Fi for the first time, and enjoy some incredible bourbon.

Watching these style of videos people forget how young these men and women are that go defend us and our country. As a marine wife who husband served 20+ years. And our son who is the process of enlisting.. I’ve seen young kids 17 and 18 Stand proud take the oath to defend.. it still amazes me so THANK YOU ALL THAT HAVE OR ARE GOING TO SERVE and the families that support them.

Thank you for your service!! I was at Parris Island in July for my Marine's graduation. Never had her head shaved but could whip out a perfect bun in a minute flat. She also got to sit in the cockpit of a C130, on her way back from Iwo Jima. She has a very special bottle of that iconic black sand. Some how during her service, she ended up married to a fish eating, ball bouncer. Their first son's birth certificate says, place of birth, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA. That's going to be a lot for him to write out when he's older. LOL

I've not heard all of Trace's stuff, but he's pretty damn good at the Patriotic songs. I was introduced to him 27 years ago by my then husband, now ex. Trace worked on Offshore Oil Rigs and my Husband also worked on Offshore Oil Rigs off the Texas and Louisiana coast so we had that connection. My father was in the Marines and my oldest son in the Army and is now in the Army National Guard, he enjoys being a weekend warrior!

We are currently waiting to hear about a deployment coming up, which will take him away almost a year. So raise a glass for my sanity if yall will!! Nursing school and two little ones alone for nearly a year already has me in knots.

I can't express in a comment how much this video and your reaction mean to me. This Sept 11 has been particularly hard. I love the reaction channels but they all took the politically correct way on this very solemn day. With you guys, I got a bourbon lesson, history lesson and a true feeling of what it is to be an American. I really appreciate this video/song (which I have never heard) and your reaction. If you want to laugh a little, check out "Brown Chicken, Brown Cow" by Trace. Perhaps paired with Buffalo Trace bourbon? :)

Thanks for a great channel and content.

Thanks for enjoying the channel. I enjoy the Jefferson’s Ocean Barrel Proof. The last time I tried the regular strength, I didn’t think it was worth what I paid, but everybody’s pallet is different. -Dustin
