We have the 2021 tr5 and so far we love it. Cleans clothes and they smell really good

Hey Kirk still truckin’ along with my 2018 TR-5. No issues what so ever with Its performance. No regrets on my SQ set and it’s purchase. Saves a ton on my utilities and cleans without all the drama of these other types of HE machines out there. People forget to factor in the type detergents and their water quality will very much effect how anything comes clean no matter what it is. 👍👍

Water-softener system and good ol Tide - original scent for me. 💁🏼‍♀️ Clean, and smells good.

I think this would be good for lightly soiled laundry but my partner restores old ride on lawnmowers & gets covered in grease & whatever other dirt he can find. I have had my TC5 for 5 months (it replaced a 2020 Whirlpool FL) & I absolutely love it!! It cost a bit more but worth every nickle:)

If you notice during the wash cycle there is one pair of jeans that is darker than the rest that appears to stay at the top the whole time. I set the video speed to 2 to see if this washer turns clothes over very slowly but I still was able to observe it at the surface the whole time. It seemed to only change orientation slightly while still staying in one place. Also if you will notice, one of the pockets of the jeans was turned inside out and is clearly visible on the surface the whole time. Not saying that this thing can clean, but its wash action is like a GE Hyrdrowave washer with a broken mode shifter and its rollover is certainly not stellar.

I think Speed Queen should've put some fins in the drum, since it spins together with the agitator.

I love my speed queen washer it's just like this one on this video it really washes my clothes clean.

Permanent press is basically just a regular wash cycle with a lower speed spin to reduce wrinkles (I think).

It agitates out instead of down.Works great on lightly soiled clothes.Always had old fashion kenmore but no more.The store owner and both techicians have SQ with one Using TC5 because of heavily soiled clothes.

This would be a decent machine if it had a two piece agitator like the whirlpool direct drives to drive the clothes down and create turnover.

What happened to the cool down? When laundering Permanent Press, you’ll usually get a cool fill with slow agitation with a Whirlpool or a Kenmore. How come you don’t get a cool down period with a Speed Queen? Will you get a cool down period with an LG front loader as well? -Charles-

I personally think If SpeedQueen wants to stick to slow-moving and clean by using water pressure. The impeller would work better in motion. PS. Happy new year from Western Canada Kirk!

It seems this machine isn't just tougher, it's smarter also. However, it might doing "tricks" to get around government regulations, lol. It's like there is a control center inside with little elves, like a mini NASA control room, deciding how to best wash your load, lmao.

I have a 2015 speed queen that is horribly tough on the clothes. Rips up everything, yanks elastic out of underwear. Is this one easier on clothes???

I believe it should (someone please correct me if im wrong on this) it isnt as tough with agitation as the older models due to the way it cleans by mostly turning the tub.

This speed queen is not only gentler on clothes, it doesn't get them as clean. I think you need to figure out how to load your machine properly and use the correct cycles and water level if you're having an issue with your 2015 speed queen.

@@alecvip7562 Your verbiage is kinda misleading. Not getting clothes _as clean_ is not synonymous with not getting clothes clean. You can wash your clothes with 100% bleach on a rough stone and your clothes would come out super clean, but at what cost? My TR is absolutely awesome and doesn't wear out my clothes.

We have a 2021 model and it does better than any washer we have had in our 25 years of marriage. I am a mechanic by trade so I get pretty dirty.

@@barbaramazzocca4605 There is not supposed to be turnover. Is works like a wash plate washer. Ot swishes the clothes through the water. It works better than a wash plate washer.

It's strange that the ONLY people complaining about the TR series are the ones who don't own/have any actual experience with them. Hmmmm...

That suck the washer is terrible job and I won't buy it ever!!!! No Thanks!

@@billylee2312 From what I understand the newer TR3003/5003/7003 series have a revamped agitation since it's initial intro a few years ago got poor reviews.
