Hey Ahmed, great to see you again! Hope things are well and that your TOT journey is progressing the way you want it to. Thanks for confirming this resonated with what new TPT sellers are saying / thinking. I basically combined comments I’ve heard in TPT land with comments my Grade 8 students have made when they feel discouraged. I’m getting pretty good at shifting into a growth mindset when things aren’t going well in my TPT store (like now lol) - I think what’s helping me is publicly acknowledging that I make mistakes constantly! I’ve also made some TPT mistakes publicly too, so it’s a learning curve. Great video! I can definitely relate to the TPT journey! What I've learned is that consistency is key! Some months I do well and some I don't... I'm still in my first year, so I try not to worry that much... Not giving up is key.

@@SEOTpreneur I just set goals for myself every single month. I can't control sales, but I can control the number of products and Pinterest posts I upload. I have them written down on my whiteboard next to my computer, so I know exactly what I'm doing once I sit down on my computer. Up to now, I've gotten consistent sales so I can't complain... I guess... Every now and then I just get discouraged on the growth of my store but I know that everyone's journey is different.

Mike, you're a genius and a magician! Thanks so much for the tip about the HTML shortcut for our profiles. (I'm thinking of all the other places I can use it, too.) I so appreciate your tools and tips that you freely share, and you always are improving them, too. You're the Seinfeld of TPT.

Wow. That is a huge compliment! I’m not the Seinfeld of TPT (yet) as I haven’t spent enough time mastering my craft as a TPT Seller. But I’m definitely trying to be like him in our space! Thanks for letting me know you find these tools and tips useful. That feedback encourages me to keep doing what I’m doing. What I really think we need in TPT land is the ABC comparison tool. (Actually, what I think we need is for TPT to share which keywords lead to our products as well as impressions of our products on search pages… but that’s not in my control.) It's nice to see a video by a secondary teacher! I am currently teaching grades 4-8 and am also high school certified. My style is more high school than primary. I'm not into fussy clip art and doodly looking work sheets. I haven't opened a TPT store yet, but it's on my agenda; I'm currently working on products. I hope I can find my ideal customers too! I'm sure I'm not the only "bare bones" style music teacher out there!

@TracyKMainwaring yay Ontario! Yup, I’m in Ottawa. There are a few Ontario TPT Sellers here in the SEOTpreneur KZread community. (Welcome, by the way! I think these might be some of your first comments?) I’d say charge your son rent and use the money to pay for a Canva pro account! (Or whatever else you need) That HTML stuff is copy / paste stuff - once you do it once, you’ll see it’s pretty easy. Hmm. If I had a son with a computer science background, how would I use them in lieu of rent. When you get to the TPT hamster stage and you’re starting to look at your TPT data, that’s probably where your son can help out the most. A free seller tool.com has a google sheet tool that can be technical and overwhelming. So you could get your son to watch the videos and explain what I’m talking about! I fluctuate between this is so overwhelming and I don't have the time/knowledge/interest to put in what other TPT sellers do to make huge bucks, and thinking I'd be happy with an extra couple hundred each month. I work primarily as a daily supply. I've been in a 0.5 LTO since Sept which was supposed to last the year but the teacher is returning early. I figure I might as well get started now with TPT instead of waiting for summer!

I cant believe it took me this long to try to find an easier way than typing in code manually! I’m experimenting with a video editing tool that deletes pauses…but it snips off the beginning or end of phrases, so it speeds up my already fast talking lol. Out of curiosity, what stage of the TPT seller game are you at: TPT hamster? TPT hawk? HI Mike, yes, we have 'met before'. I mentioned about our 'Nation's Capital' in the video about the free TPT seller tool, I believe that it was. As for the stage hhhmm, looks like the link is "blocked by the administrator". Not sure what that means, but..I have been selling on TPT since late 2017, but certainly not at the level that others are. Never mind ... onward and upward! LOL I am probably somewhere between hamster and hawk. I love hawks. LOL

Oh hey! That’s right! Yay Ontario! I learned a lot from your message here: 1. My memory is still crap. 2. The overzealous security plugin I have needs to be tweaked more if you’re getting IP address blocked messages. 4. We’re twins! I’m also at the hamster / hawk stage!
