Is there anyway where the cctv will only record when movement is detected rest time it stops recording to save memory?

So it looks so easy when you do it but when I have tried other cameras they just wont connect to my wifi. I add a guest 2.4ghz to the modem and tried that and it still didnt connected. All modems run on 5ghz apparently. Can you explain to me what would be the issue. I am planning on buying this camera so have not yet tried the set up. It is very frustrating the fact it doesn't recognise my internet at all. On my log on it has 2.4 and 5ghz already. Reading articles on the issue someone suggested setting up the guest log in at 2.4 but alas it still could not pick up that frequency :( any help would be good as dont want to go buy it and have same thing happening then have to return it!

Another question. Would you recommend a wireless outdoor camera (to use indoors) that doesn't need to be plugged in or connected to the wifi (as a back up to the wired wifi camera) because apparently the wifi connected cameras stop working once there is an outage of any kind (I've read the pluses and minuses to both) options. Also with no wifi connection won't have the issued of not connecting to the modem!)? thanks

i haven't had that issue but you may need to get a different router with a stronger signal or maybe try a mesh wifi system so you have better coverage

Question! If I had 2 or more cams, then can it be used in separate locations while being on different WiFi networks & still be able to view it on the same app? I would like to install one in my elderly parents house & another in a my office that’s in a different city as an example. And then I can view them both on the same app.

You can view any camera as long as you have access to them with an account, as well as both being connected on wifi internet.

With local sd storage option does it have to record all the time or can you set it to start recording only when motion is detected?

yes you can set it to only record during motion detection

Hi I just bought this camera to keep an eye on my dog. My neighbours says he howls and barks. I have not been able to hear anything when I watch the camera. I only receive motion notification, not noise. Is there something I can do to be able to hear while looking at him? If not then I am going to send this back. Thanks

you might have to check the settings to see if its recording audio and make sure its unmuted in the app when watching the clips

If the cctv is connected to the home network Can i view the camera even if i am out of town? Or needed to be on same network?

As long as your camera is connected to the internet, you can have views anywhere in the world.

Does this work with pets sound (barking)? I can’t seem to find any info on it.

as far as i know you would need wifi or a constant connection for it to work

After 1 month of use, it's regularly going offline. I don't know what to do. If you know something plz help.

you might want to try to reset it and setup again or check for firmware updates through the app

I`ve just installed this camera and whilst everything works as it should, after 2 days i`ve noticed i`m not receiving notifications.

Does this work with 5G internet?
