    just picked up a two-pack! Love it! I have mine with wired backhaul and with my 15 pro max and M3 Mac I can grab 1024 down and 1000 up on my gig connection. My only issue is I wish the deco app showed data usage in real time instead of the 2-5 second delay. The Amolfi Alien was really good with that. However, this is great. Just upgraded from my Orbis that didn't play nice with my ATT Fiber modem and had alot of double nat issues with gaming

    Thanks for the videos! From your experience, which has the best wired backhaul (wireless between mesh, but wired to computer at the satellite)? BE95/BE85? Assuming these can get higher, with the 10gbps ports. Also, how far are they from the “router”?

  • @landpet

    @landpet

  • @landpet

    @landpet

    Be85 is better cause it can handle internet speeds of up to 10Gbps. However the BE63 is amazing for internet speeds of up to 2.5Gbps and costs less. So it depends on your internet speeds and how much you want to spend. I would go for the 85 if your internet speeds are faster than 2.5Gbps or youre planning on upgrading in the future other than that 63 should be great.

  • @landpet

    I’m assuming you’re no longer using the xe75 or all of that and its nodes are turned off during setup of this deco. Best to disable the router portion of the modem/router combo or set it in bridge mode.

    If I use Wireless Backhaul, then the MLO of Wifi7 won’t work correct? In your opinion, is MLO really worth it considering I will have WiFi 7 laptops, etc?

  • @landpet

    @landpet

    Using the dedicated wireless backhaul option outweighs the MLO. You usually get better speeds when the backhaul has the best connection. You can try out both ways though and see what works better in your case

    Nice video. I don’t remember you ever mentioned that people need to have ssd’s with read /write speed greater than network speed . To utilize 5gbps network speed you need pci4 ssd drive with read write greater than 5gbps or some variation of raid0 . Many people are still on old 5400/7200 hard drives or first gen slow ssd drives. It would be nice to have your input on that. Thank you!!

  • @landpet

    @landpet

    6 ай бұрын

    Thanks, Technically you are downloading some random data and uploading it (not exactly sure how much data it is, the speed test servers will probably specify if you look for it) so in theory a slow hard drive can affect speeds. The thing is most computers don't have 5Gbps ports or faster. In fact most are capped to gigabit ports. So if you bought a computer that came with a faster port, it would most likely come with a faster SSD. Or if you were upgrading your pc and adding a 10Gbps port to a pcie slot, most likely you probably have an SSD, if not you may need to upgrade it.
