I just placed an order on this! My old TP Link wifi adapter stopped working after a year for me. Granted it was Wifi 5 and not dual band. I then ordered one from Netgear and it was not working with my PC. It was caping my speeds at 54 on my 5ghz wifi and was always stuck there. Never went up or down. So I'm returning it and hoping this one will actually work and do the job!

What router you are using at the moment? I afraid there's a speed limitation from the router as well.

sounds cool, in my case i have old laptop and its wifi unable to handle dtron Wi-FI6 signal, so it make sense to try this usb wlan stikc, thanks a lot!

This is a WiFi adapter for PC. It doesn't works as an AP or other modes.

Good question, I have not tried that. I assume the slow-down speed also depends on both the receiver and transmitter (router) as well. I could give it a try during my free time

So sorry I don't have the ASUS AX56 USB to compare, they should works pretty much the same but ASUS didn't specific the antenna dbi (strength)

Is online gaming feasible on this? Wired connection is not possible for me and i get 3 bars on WiFi with occasional ping spikes. Can someone who got this item answer my question? Did your gaming get better?

Any heating issues with the adapterafter long periods of hours gaming and heavy downloads?

I didn't game or use it for heavy download. But I have used it for 8-10 hours, didn't encounter any problem

Now, in December 2022, it became widely available in EU (like holland as well) It's also available in the US and Canada through local shops and Amazon.

I don;t get it. it says it can get like 1,2Gb speed on the network settings of the device, but all I get is 300mbs even tough I have 1Gb provider and 5Gb compatible gaming router. Am I missing something or it's just a trash? 3m away with no obstacles, my main board with integrated wifi gets 340Mbps lol. da heck?? any tips? Using Aorus Gaming 5 370 motherboard

It is because USB 3.0 speed is capped at only 600Mbps. Hence, you won't be able to get Gigabit speed. Since it's a PC build, why don't you get a PCIe Wi-Fi 6 card?

Can i plug it into a fiber internet cable or it must be plugged only to laptop/pc?

You don't need to remove the existing WiFi module. Just disable it in device manager

Theoretically, yes, it depends on what operating system your device is running. I would highly recommend downloading the latest drivers from the official website.

It would detect as 2 different networks. I assume the USB modem you referring to is a 4G modem. The TX20U will work as a WiFi network instead

Of course TX20 Plus as it has the newest Wi-Fi 6 that promise more stable and faster speeds comparing to Wi-Fi 5 (AC)

This doesn't have as many antennae just 2x2 where the t9uh is 4x4, but its noticeably better than the t9uh for game streaming at least, even if you're still using a wifi 5 modem like me. It doesn't get as hot and I'm able to crank the bitrate on moonlight to max where as I was only able to get around 65-70mbps bitrate on the t9uh. Really the only reason I got this was because my t9uh started to lose performance and it wouldnt smoothly stream at any bitrate anymore, which i assume is because it ran so hot for so long. It only lasted about 2 weeks x.x. I just cant wait to get a wifi 6 router to see how much better this really is

You don't set the dongle's Wi-Fi channel. You can only pick which channel to connect on your router, 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz

Did you manage to install the WiFi adapter driver? If yes it should switch to the WiFi card instead of unknown items

Aside from showing the Internet speed, I also shared the ping. This ain't benchmarking ISP speed, it's how fast the adapter and router able to communicate
