Hi, I'm confused. You stated that the GVWR was over 2000 Kgs. That's over 4000 pounds, and the camper weighs about 900. Did I miss something?

i can't belive they sell a 900 lbs camper for a tacoma 5' bed...they should advertised to change the suspension at the beginning to hold that weight.Overall nice rig man

What do you mean your Tacoma didn’t have front tie downs? No silver U shaped brackets low on the bedsides in the front? Picking up a Yoho on Monday and slightly panicked about the whole thing 😂😭

There were the rear D-rings, but not in the front. It's an easy fix, and cost $30 from Toyota. You can also get heavy duty ones from automotive stores.

Stay in the desert my friend, that camper won't work in the cold weather. I got one and I feel that I got screwed with the false advertisement that is a true 4 season camper.

@@229Reaper They freeze inside easily, have to have the heat running all night long. It gets cold very very quickly. The door literally has gaps around it, you can see the light. I ended putting a blanket over it to keep the cold from coming in. I ended putting a second heat source to keep it warm. I had a cheap 15k camper that held in the cold weather much much better.

We have camped in the Yoho in -10 celcius and with the diesel heater and the thermostat it does great. The heater pumps dry warm heat very efficiently all day long if you want it to. I will be using it again this winter, and plan lots of snowy cold adventures.

You aren’t supposed to use the GVWR to determine how heavy of a camper your truck can take on. The yellow sticker on the truck’s side door panel should state the max payload capacity, which for most Tacomas with your specs, is usually around 900 lbs. This is determined at the factory and no amount of modifications can change the value of the max payload capacity of a truck. All the modifications do are stabilize the ride, make it more comfortable to drive, and level out the truck when loaded up. In the end, however, it’s completely dangerous and irresponsible on the part of the camper company to even build or sell such a heavy camper for a Tacoma. If there’s an accident and they determine that the truck was exceeding the max payload capacity, you’re going to be SOL and liable. So many people have no clue about this, thinking that mods will increase payload capacity. If anything, adding heavier tires, leafs, and beefier suspension will add to the GVWR and reduce the payload capacity as well. Too many people are either uninformed, misinformed, or ignorant to this fact. Want a hard-walled truck camper? Get a bigger truck. Even my F-150 with the same camper and five passengers will exceed the payload capacity, which for me is at 1350 lbs. Do your due diligence!

He’s right Burrito Taco. This comes down to the engineering of the truck when toyota designs it. When you modify the suspension and frame to accept this weight, you accept all the dangers that come along with it. That being said. It’s cool but too heavy. Gotta get a bigger truck. Btw. Payload capacity means everything you carry including you and your passengers. Lots of weight for the burrito equals a hole in the tortilla.

@@nathantreto1813 ah, no. Obviously you're not an engineer ad obviously you're not aware of dozens of certified, licensed and insured aftermarket installers who specialize in the Tacoma for decades.
