I didn't know people modified the Supra's automatic transmission for racing, I always thought they are using modified GM automatic transmissions. This is awesome! Great explanation too.

I love how ATF explains what they have altered in the transmission. I have seen many people overlook the small stuff when building cars. Buy once, cry once.

I always kind of wondered what went on inside my A340E, I blew big bucks having it modified to hold 500+hp and blew out 2nd gear within a week. i'd love to be able to do this myself. great video!

dynoing solenoids the wording sounds exotic bench tested the solenoids the normal to do well a must other than that good upgrades but i wonder if its extreme dollars that why i bought a lathe and next an endmill. if prices are fair ill buy some of that but i ant no rich city kid import stuff suffers from high pricing on some stuff .not saying these parts do i hope not very nice upgrades a++++ guys great stuff

hi nice video i have a aisin 30-42le also known as a342e when going down hill it sometimes puts the brake on in the transmission enough to feel it through the car also sometimes get vibration when cold is this a valve body issue?

I have a stock TT automatic mark iv that has a problem with the manual mode turning on at random. And when in Drive it stays in first. Any ideas? What could be wrong

You might want to call atf and ask, i dont think the manual mode turning on at random is a transmission problem, more like the switch itself is going bad or what ever that switch activates is self turning on ??

I don't own a toyota....but I still want that transmission XD

Great video...... Would you recommend pistons upgrade on a A340E transmission, stock 2jz?

4 mins in, I want it. my a340e is gettin tired and i did a transgo vb recal. it shifts pretty good but I want these upgraded parts and a nice tc that maybe has a little better stall spped. How do you dyno the solenoids?

What's the best ECU to control these transmissions?

Looking forward for the 470rw stage 4 in a few months...ATF is my solution.

doing right might cost more but look at the results!

RocksteadyRacer when yu open auti matic transmission if its the first ones yu do. Id recomend yu to take pics of everything your uninstalling or removing just to get an idea how to put it back 😉

After watching this video 100 times I may be able to disassemble 3 maybe 4 bolts.. pause.. then watch the video a couple more hundred times and then MAYBE I could do this.

***** If it enters a cut in your body it has reaction to your nerves and doctors will have too fix it. Be careful in any chemicals read as much as you can. A transmission can kill you for you new people.

+connerconn Sorry, but you are misinformed. There are no constituents in uncontaminated ATF to cause nerve damage. The following is directly from Dexron ATF MSDS and is very similar to the MSDS on nine other ATF brands we have in our inventory including Mobil, Shell/Pennzoil/Quaker State, ATI, Aisin/Mitasu, TCI and Schaeffer. Human Health Hazards: Not classified as hazardous or dangerous. Not expected to be a health hazard when used and handled under normal conditions. Skin Contact: Prolonged or repeated skin contact without proper cleaning may result in clogged pores of the skin and oil acne which is characterized by blackheads. Eye Contact: This product is practically non-irritating to the eyes upon direct contact. Rinse immediately with cool clean clear water. If irritation persists, get medical attention. Ingestion: Very low toxicity if swallowed, Do not induce vomiting. No treatment is necessary under ordinary circumstances. Other Information: Used fluid may contain impurities. I do agree with you about researching thoroughly and being careful when handling any chemical or substance.

Just showing the failed transmission doesn't help others understand the cause of the failure and what's available to fix said causes. Which is the purpose of this video.

I totally agree, even as a consumer you have to be careful. Negative reviews/videos calling down a product or service, it does leave the door open to being sued. Although It's way less likely, since as a consumer you have the right to comment on a product/service you paid for, as long as you present the facts/truth of the situation. Just by watching a few video's on TRC's channel tho, I was able to figure out who built the first trans, just look for a car running brand X, then all of a sudden has an ATF transmission in the latest videos.

StreetRetributionMotorSport You would if you watched Transmission Bench on utube. The most detailed explanatory instructor you’ll ever watch. Doesn’t throw parts around like a kid in a toy box. If you can’t rebuild a tranny after watching his videos, you might as well sell your tools.
