What an incredible road trip. I did the Route 66 back in 2019 driving a Dodge Challenger, an absolute dream holiday.
Joe, here is a correction. This is a 2018 RAV4 LE (U.S. model) and the engine is 2.5L L4 DOHC 16-valve, it produces 176 hp. This is not the European version you listed. Awesome trip and amazing video!
The RAV4 is a very popular car in the Americas, by families, single adults, and passenger fleet drivers(Taxis, Rideshare companies such as Uber and Lyft) As you see in the video here. The RAV4 is reliable, quick, nimble and versatile in many urban areas, such as NYC area.

The whole video lasted more than 3 hours, it was great!! Hopefully you can do that same tour through some cities in Europe, like London, Madrid, Paris, whichever ones you can, of course, hahaha... it was good to see the climates in the different states of the USA.

I'm glad you had the chance to take this trip. Your footage is awesome. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford renting a car when I visited the States a few years back, since I was only 21 at the time and the insurance would have cost me an arm and a leg. I rode with friends or took the bus for the most part, which was fine. What differences did you find the most significant in terms of driving in the US versus back home in the EU? To me, 4-way stops and the way certain road markings are styled (e.g. the lines indicating center left turn lanes) seem to be biggest differences. Plus the fact that road signs include a lot more written instructions than what we have in the EU.
