I enjoy watching the German and Japanese auto plants. They all dress in uniforms- neat and clean. Compare this to the American auto plants where the workers wear whatever they want: cutoff shirts, Saturday lounge wear, and clothes you would wear to the grocery store on Sunday morning.

It is interesting to see what actually goes on in a Toyota plant. All the famous stuff seems to be invisible. Kanban cards, just-in-time, visual management, the line stop button and the critical importance of takt time (all operations in a sequential assembly line need to take the same time). The line is famously clean. There is very little talking, just the whir of powered tools. Thanks for the video!
