Nice but sadly despite Borneo Motors soon to launch Prius, we are getting the lowest grade, meaning small infotainment screens (or a larger less integrated looks), more hard plastics interior door panels. More like a Cat A budget build car for a Cat B price.

I don’t understand Prius Gen 5th in Singapore rear strip light does not illuminate. In US, the light strip looks cool at night. Hopefully, Borneo version is similar to US version.

Having seen the Borneo Motors (BM)Prius, got to say this PI Prius, the rims and the way the after-market headunit installed are way better than BM units.

Sad the 190hp 2.0 isn’t brought in. That’s the real deal. Singapore always gets the weak spec thanks to the archaic tax system. Think Altis and Civic 1.6 when other countries got 1.8 as the minimum.

Taxi spec 1.8L Prius dont make sense. 134bhp 1.8L Cat B Bring in the Superior 2.0L 200hp Cat B spec and give me a call. Do the Gen 5 Prius some justice.

Hybrid lah. Ev in cat B is just an expensive toy. Who wants to buy a used EV when Avg EV batt warranty only 8yrs or 160000km. And used Ev batt condition n degradation cannot be assessed. What if software support n debugging stops n rendering the EV unusable before the 10yr COE up. And will the EV company still be around in 10yrs time esp those from china flooding the market. Ev has too many sensors and parts, which can only be sourced, replaced from the original company.

Overpriced for such a basic car, Toyota interiors are one of the most outdated.

it ultimately depends on the importer. the screens are replaced by shoddy aftermarket units bc of import taxes. would be nice if singapore got the same powertrain and trim options as the rest of the world but toyota doesnt seem to care about the asean market.
