You can get the hole hubs for not much more than just the bearing and the time it save not having to use the press is worth it for sure

They usally come with shit non branded chinese bearings

The later hiaces have a wee cover on the inside of the knuckle and over the hole through the centre of the hub, I guess to lessen the amount of crap that gets in there and to stop the corrosion, done a 2012 one today

Awesome video pokey The cable ties work awesome to hold up the brake calliper but another great way is to get some 3-4mm steel rood and bend them into a hook like a butchers hook and u use one side of the hook to hook on to the calliper then the other side to hook on to the spring or what ever u have to hang it on cable ties u have to pay for there not much but in the long run saves heaps of money Every mechanic has there ways of doing thing which is cool coz u get to learn from fellow mechanics, that’s the way we do it at our shop if u wanna try cheers pokey 🍻

Yeah I have used the hook tool idea before, I am getting there, its on my list when I go to the scrap yard for things like this but never remember when I am there to grab the steel

Great video thanks. Does the back nut which holds the abs ring not have to be torqued down? Or is a smack with a chisel all it needs?

Great idea the puller bar for removal, other than that don’t try this at home children unless you have access to an engineering workshop with presses, grinders and gas sets to name a few things. Lastly, the skill to use them. Have fun.

You left out the most important part. The removal of the bearing from the hub and the insertion of the new bearing..
