Hashemi Sahab traditional transmission is much better option than a CVT. Because it uses torque drive shaft in a gear box, which is fully metallic parts moving inside. On the the other hand, CVT uses a belt drive which gives fuel economy benefits and multi ratios of gears but it is inherently a weak transmission. Because the whole load of a car is on single belt. Moreover, it has a short life and it is also a under powered machine as compared to traditional automatic.

Some what confused review. You said, the car can deliver 15 to 16 km/l in city and upto 18 on long which is very impressive for this size (Im getting similar figures). Then you keep repeating, due to 4 gears fuel economy will not be worse. Kindly correct these comments. I believe, you have only heard or briefly tested this car and not kept this car. Another wrong information, the rpms of altis 1.6 are not very high. Rather it rev quite low due to engine tuneup done by Toyota and this is why it provides good fuel average. Elantra 1.6 with 6 gears gives same or less fuel average. In mechanical engineering, its not the numbers that count, its the combination of equiment and how well they are tunned to work with eachother.

@@usamaejazkhanniazi1279 ji mene chalai hy, phly grande 2018 model baad me altis 1.6, lekin zyada Lahore ki roads per. City roads per 1.6 and 1.8 ki normal drive me zyada difference nahi hy, rather feel bhi nahi hota. But if you like to push and race, 1.8 in sports mode will definitely be more responsive and a different feel. Khadon se murad agar suspension hy tu dono similar hain as suspension and chasis same hy. Aap question agar thora elaborate kr dein, means aap exactly kis type ka comparison chahty hain tu I might be able to guide more dpecifically.

Thnx bro yehi pooch rha tha me k bumps/ khaddon per suspension ka response dono me same hai nhi? Bcz I sat in a grande and we drove over some rough roads and it was so much better than Honda City. So I wanted to know if suspension of 1.6 will perform same as grande on bad roads

Elantra is a much better option with a lot more features than altis and it comes with leather interior and wireless charger
