Toyota ACR50 Idling Issue Solved after Battery Change, Reset ECU
Solve the idling issue when battery has been changed or when negative terminal has been taken out for repair works such as throttle body or MAF sensor clean etc.
After connecting back Battery -ve terminals,
1) press start/stop button once, then off again. Repeat this for the second time.
2) on the Third Try, step on brake and start engine. The idle should go back to factory settings, in the event it is idling too low, keep it in park or neutral and rev to the desired rpm 1000 or 1500. Hold this for about 2mins and then leave it to idle for another 2mins before shutting off.
The ECU will relearn idling for the next first 300km, avoid redlining and abrupt acceleration. Drive with ease or normal mode.

My 08 Previa with key start type, I want to make the idle around 900 at P mode to overcome engine stall and vibration to 600~ when AC on. But it do not work although I press the gas to hold idle around 900 during relearn mode over 2 min. Any suggestions?

I have the same car (09 Previa from Borneo Motors SG) and issue you described. It isn't caused by engine idle speed, the issue are the worn engine mounts. My problem has gone away, after changing all the engine mounts. Apparently, at certain engine loads (eg. AC is on), the vibration frequency will cause the shake at that particular moment. But you won't fee it at other times. I initially couldn't believe this to be the case, but an experienced ex-Toyota mechanic (Hanip) diagnose this correct, and no more car / engine shakes for me, when the AC is turned on. Google for Hanip workshop, if you want to have it fixed there. Hope this helps.
