Ойын-сауық
Toy-Ventures returns with a look at the Super Hero Utility belts produced by Remco and me reuniting with my childhood bat belt. A toy I loved and enjoyed for a whole afternoon before it broke but I'd do it again!

The old Ideal version of the Batman Utility Belt was still on my local toy store shelves in 1969/1970, when I was in the first grade. I complained about it to my dad, because I didn't understand why there weren't also similar items for the villains. I never pretended I was Batman or Robin back then, but I was constantly imitating The Penguin. So he bought me an umbrella. It didn't last long (since I used it to sword fight, like on the show), but looking back, that was a pretty cool thing for him to do!
I can confirm that at least one Hulk belt was sold; I had one as a kid.
MAN ! DID WE HAVE FUN BACK THEN .
My Star Trek Utility belt is one of my favorite items in my collection
The Ideal Batman Utility Belt was only available for two years. 1966-1967. The Lost in Space Motorized Robot lasted longer than Batman's belt.
Yes, we had one too! We ordered it from the Heroes World mail order catalog in the late 70’s 🙂👏🏼👏🏼
Utility belts have appeal to kids. I grew up past the prime era of utility belts, but in 80 or 81 I got a Fisher Price outdoor survival belt thing. It came with a canteen, compass, whistle, telescope, etc. That served me for a long time as Batman’s belt, Luke Skywalker’s belt, and many more.
Wow. Looks like I wasn't the only one who had the Batman Utility belt. Can't remember for the life of me what was included on mine. I remember the walkie talkie.
I had this one as a kid
Bought the star trek belt at consumers distributing.......LoL to this day my favorite toy..I'm 56 ..LoL thanks man cheers from Vancouver BC 🤘
I got this for Christmas one year in elementary school. Loved it!
I'm a bit surprised. As a kid that was right in that play range in 1975 and I and my friends had and played heavily with these. The Star Trek one actually got far more playtime and had far more kids that had it around than the Batman one. The Space 1999 one was a nice to have one as it went well alongside the Star Trek. It may have also been an age thing even among the narrow kid role play ages. While we still were getting both Batman and Star Trek in daily syndication Batman to use felt a little younger.
I had the Star Trek one, and the lid on the communicator broke off almost as fast as the AMT model kit one I also played with. There might have been a strap replacement for the Tricorder somewhere along the line. In '77 I went as Luke Skywalker for Halloween, and needed a belt. Remco Star Trek to the rescue! We just covered the logo with black electrician's tape, and it stayed there from then on.
Got my batbelt at TG&Y around 1976..
What a wonderful set! Love the bat ears on the communicator.
I had this in the seventies in the UK. It wasn't Remco but it was the same set. What a blast.
I had the Incredible Hulk utility belt as a kid. I remember wearing it one Halloween with the inflatable green hulk muscles as part of my Ben cooper Halloween costume.
So many memories watching this! That Bat-Communicator was a great trigger !
Always wanted one of these utility belts as a kid but never had one. My mom or grandmother did make one for me in the style of Adam West's belt with pouches all around (I really wanted to find some yellow capsules for a more comic book look) which I wore until the fabric finally gave out.
I don't think I ever had one of these but I am sure I picked one up at the store and studied it and wanted it! I love the packaging and the concept!
What an awesome set! Great video!!!😊
I had both Batman and Spider-Man remco belts.
Got my "Wonder Woman" utility belt set from Heroesworld.
These videos are always a treat. Never had these belts made my own with star trek models ...phaser tricorder communicator...added velcro, a strap to the tricorder and was on my way. Such fun.
I saw The Shadow utility belt only once at either a Sears or a JC Penny when I was little, and never forgot it! Until I saw your video on it I thought there was a possibility that I was misremembering it! Love your channel!
In 1976 Remco licensed its Batman utility belt to Burbank Toys in the UK. Basically it was the same contents as the US version but the UK box graphics were different and I like them more then the US blue box version which I have as. As of my typing this there are two known UK box sets and I have one of them.
I had this one and the Space: 1999 belt. I remember a generic utility belt that was yellow with two rows of little holes along it. All of the utilities (flashlight, canteen, sheath with a rubber knife, etc) were orange with pegs on the back ending with a little ball so they could be plugged into any spot on the belt. I thought it was Fisher-Price but all the pics of their utility belt from the 70's look quite different. Anyone else remember this?
Got my Batman utility belt on a memorable trip to Maryland in 1976, where I also got my first comic books. Still have the comic books. Even as a three year old, I wondered where the batarang was.
I HAD THAT UTILITY BELT TOO! I REMEMBER THAT LITTLE GUN..THING. Life was so simple back then.
Had the Star Trek and Hulk belts...
I had the Mego Star Trek figures and Enterprise Bridge play set. My Dad also bought the communicators and Phasers for me. I really miss those toys. Also on a side note... I think you guys need to revist your "Bum Wine" arcticle but do it here on youtube!
I remember getting a later version of the Hulk belt, that came with a "Hulk voice modulator", which was really just very strange shaped kazoo...
I had one! Got it around late 1977 or 78! I bought a 3D printed one recently. Repro box etc.
I had the star trek one, good memories. I remember the mickey mouse one, I thought it was cool but lacked action potential as a 7 year old kid. :)
I had two the Spider-man one not sure but it looks like the one on the video and a Cowboys one I also had a MOTU He-Man role play went I was a kid
The hulk needs a utility belt to keep his pants up.
Love for DC or IDW to reprise the WOlf PACK line of Big Jim.
Nowadays Neca made a replica 1966 Bat Radar and Bat-Cuffs for $20 per
I had the Greg Brady utility belt, which came with a little black book, 3 condoms and 2 joints 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
