As always Brian, you’re my favorite tour guide for toys on the Interweb. (Information + humor) x presentation / subtlety = 100%
My brother had the Bionic Man/Bigfoot racers when we were kids(probably 1978ish). We loved pumping them up and racing them. Great memories from our childhood. Thanks.
Couldn’t limit it to just one. Higher tickets: Mego Movie Bridge Set, Bionic Bigfoot, Astronaut GI Joe, the Tootsietoy boxed sets. Medium tickets: Perry Mason comic, Grizzly Adams. Low end: the Gurley Candle… had a whole Christmas village of them growing up the, now rebuilding the collection with Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving… I remember the boxed Tootsietoy Flash Gordon set with two spaceships in the stores but never got it. I finally found a loose ship in the last ten years. Funny how in the quick pan over you made the ship vaguely resembles a 1999 Eagle. Thanks for the beautiful toy memories!
I had such a good time watching this. I probably would have picked up the tiny wind-up robot with the pinkish dome or the Star Trek Jet Discs. I always tell myself that I will just sit back and watch your videos without pausing, but as usual, I pause on every slide to look at every single toy.
The boxed Ilia 12 inch figure is my pick. I love going to That 80's Toy Store but I joke with my friend about the stuff behind the counter that if you have to ask you can't afford it!
That Star Trek bridge!!!
The Sizzlers caught my eye. Not a huge Mattel Hotwheels collector but I had a Sizzlers set with a bunch of cars that I played with for years as a kid when they first came out. The Remco Tower would be next, look out Brian it may not be there ; )
When I saw the Fisher Price Castle and then ROM Space Knight I nearly tried to jump through my TV to buy them.
That gorilla looks kind of familiar. Is it possible that he was the top of a candy tube? A tube with candy in it and he would be the stopper kind of like what you would usually see in a Christmas candy cane? And the one thing I definitely would’ve gotten was that bendable Batgirl ! I’m a huge Batgirl fan! That was a no-brainer.

Yep, that's a candy tube topper. The tube would have been filled with those awful knock-off M&Ms you see in the tubes at Christmas time.

Totally looks like the top of a tube of m&ms I would have gotten for Xmas backing the day

I may be wrong, but I remember having that on the top of a candy tube when I was a kid! And yes I did enjoy the knock off m&ms!
“Taps” Friendly Market! Love it! Memories of Tanawanda…😉
Great looking garage sale, some amazing things there and I thought it said 'talking Ed Gein' in one of your pictures.....now there's a missed merchandising opportunity!
Really fun stuff! The Flash Gordon cartoon was great. Thanks for sharing your photos!
Love it when you make these videos!!!! Plus, I enjoy seeing what you bought and passed up on. I would have bought the carded "Tonto" figure from "Legend of the Lone Ranger". Tonto actor "Michael Horse" is going to be at a show I'm going to in July. The show is in Atlantic City. It is almost the perfect locale.
I would have loved to have left with either that sweet ROM or the Grizzly Adams doll shown earlier.
I think that I'd have brought home the loose Steve Austin figure.
I would have bought that Perry Mason comic for my wife.
Great video, thank you. I would (have wanted to) grab the Remco Whirlybird (9:52) if it was complete, also the Little Lulu figure and the Weebles Tarzan Jungle Hut play-set, which I didn't know even existed, and now really need in my collection!
Great video thanks for showing 👍
Just a ton of great stuff…thanks for sharing!
Superpowers Clark Kent, he's just the most powerful unassuming guy! XD_ _ _
Earthquake Tower, the Christmas present that I really wanted in 76. But didn't get and still want to this day. It was start to my well developed cynicism. I got a room full of toys that Christmas. All I could think of was if your going to go this far, what would it hurt to give the kid what he wanted.
I had that Earthquake Tower when I was a kid, but don't remember a bunch about it.
I'd have jumped on that ROM myself.
That looks awesome. So much more interesting and varied than the usual “toy hunts” on KZread. I live in Upstate NY, might need to make a trip up there someday!
I had both the dicast metal Shogun Warriors and the large plastic ones. I also had Godzilla! Rex's Toy Town in Thousand Oaks California!! The greatest toy store ever!!! I believe it is gone now; I've look for it online from time to time. I love your videos. I'm going through a very hard time now, health crisis. Your videos always cheer me up. My best to you!!!
I probably would have brought home a 5” Shogun Warriors toy! Great looking shop and ofcourse event!
I saw a rubber ugly rat. That's my takeaway one I think I would of got. Might of been Halloween decoration.
The item that caught my eye was the Milton Bradley Haunted Treasure Hunt game. I actually already have it. It's a game I remember fondly from my childhood. It actually uses the same game mold as operation but has a haunted pirate treasure theme with art reminiscent of Scooby Doo. Instead of removing bones and organs, you did for treasure.
Awesome finds!
My parents had all those blowmolds for Christmas, got the Frosty in 1974 and repainted him several times until they passed in 2017 ( and he had too many holes).
You sunk my...yep...BATTLESHIP!
What a fun video! I think the parachute Captain Kirk would have been tempting, and if that toy store had the Shogun diecasts I was missing it would have been key. BTW, did you ever find out which Shoguns they had in the glass? I hope you and your wife enjoy your new finds.
The vintage Batmobile next to the pink car or the Zorro puzzle.
Great finds friend here in Puerto Rico vintage stuff is a serious limited in the garage sales and activities of collectors
I'm pretty sure the gorilla goes on the top of a tube full of generic M&M style candies, with some sort of appropriate branding. I don't remember seeing the gorilla, but I remember seeing a lot of dinosaur ones as a kid, and they are still made as faux candy canes.
Why is it at these things there will always be a random naked doll on one of the tables...? My picks: Fisher Price castle: had it as a kid. Still have a few pieces and every time I see it in one of these videos, I feel happy thinking about it. 6 million dollar man race set: They gave Bigfoot a jet motorcycle?! How did I not know that toy existed? That's brilliant!
Cool stuff overload! Enjoyed the video Brian. Wondering when the next podstaillons will drop? Love to listen to you and Jason talking shit.
Wow! Mego, A.J. Renzi, Duncan, Kenner......etc. Such a great selection of amazing toys.
Great video Brian, Cheers! Without a doubt it would be the Sizzlers Fat Track Big O race set. I had the first basic Sizzlers oval set on the standard orange Hot Wheels track when I was 3 y.o. & a few years later hot the RRRrumblers Fat Track offset figure 8 set with the air (fist) powered jump ramp. Best toy ever IMO next to Ideal’s Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle. That Knock-off Tootsie toy bionic figure looks like a distant relative of Brick Mantooth. Might have don him some groovy threads & a gold chain or 2…
I’d love to have that boxed fisher price castle
I would have grabbed the Sailor moon compact that was briefly glimpsed at the garage sale. Also the Space Fighter figures at the store you went to first.
Yes Kong was on top of a candy tube they also did other like the Devil/Demon..
I would’ve had to have that Spike Jones album.
Fantastic job by the Wife, looked like a fantastic time, The King Kong looked like the same mold they used for the AHI Squirt gun no?
Star Trek Enterprise Bridge playset from Mego. No doubt about it.
I actually rehabbed that Gurley candle a while back. Basically, use Dawn dish soap with cold water and rub with your hands to remove the dust and grease. It's okay to remove a light layer of wax, it won't hurt it. Use a toothpick for finer areas. Sorry if this posted multiple times, but looks like KZread might be deleting comments with links to other websites (I posted a link to a blog I wrote on the rehab).
Excellent!
great video
I was thinking candy tub topper for that ape head as well because I remember a friend of mine showing me one a long time ago. I looked it up in pictures of his collection and... his has the mouth molded open and might connect differently. So either a variation or completely different thing. As for what I'd be tempted by, well, you know I would have been checking those Shogun for variations I need. But nice score on the Gurley candle. We have the blow mold and a ceramic (I think) version of that.
💪🤓
The gorilla goes on top of one of those candy tubes they had gorillas and robots, and the little candies were like I think they were like six slits. They were little candy like multi milk ball things. I think the dinosaurs to write definitely had one of those.
With the gorilla topper it resembles a Whamo Super Sneaky Squirtin Stick of the 70s...im probably waay off
i have parts of that starbase zeuss from my childhood, always wondered what the name of that toy was. thanks!
Lovely video, I know I’m picking here, but that 80s toy shop by and large from what I saw in the video had very little in the way of 80s toys, mostly 70s 90s to modern retro versions, plus having that 80s toy shop logo in 70s font and 90s toy story logo, really 🤦♂️, as I say I know I’m probably being a tad harsh but 😂, I’d probably love it in there 😂
The item i'd have grabbed would be that Mickey Mouse ventriloquist puppet, depending on the price of course
I’d like to see more photos of that Jaws. It’s probably a little too rough and a little too pricey, but I’d still be curious to get a better look at it and know the price. I had a nice boxed one in the 90s. I’ve been wanting to replace it for a long time.
Brian, Brian, Brian please go down the Shogun Warriors rabbit hole. I want to enjoy this line again vicariously thru you. I remember it being sold at Eatons ( or Simpsons) in downtown Montreal. At 11:06 in the video there’s a Robin figure in a case. What was it exactly. Also that Tootsie Toy Bionic Man type figure triggered something in my memory. I’m sure I’d seen it back in the day. Was it only available in that large set or were there other variations. Really fun video,
There's nothing like that toy store around here. Which is probably good since I'd be broke....lol I saw a black hole item but something was on top of it. I'm guessing it was a puzzle??
Milton the Monster board game.
I would have bought the two Ideal Action Boy’s, especially the one in the space suit and the Buddy Charlie (Marx’s GI Joe clone).
Is the bionic man set similar to the Evel Knievel motorcycle set?
The Trek motion picture bridge if it wasn't over 300 bucks

They had the Buck Rogers Star Fighter Command Center there once with the box intact too which was tempting. That bridge has been there for years though.
Which Flash Gordon guy do you need? I might be open to an interesting trade
I’d have gotten the Joe deep sea diver.
What was the John Lennon thing at the very end?
Do you want to see how to take 8-dollars and turn it into 32,000 odds to win.
