That's probably why her character seems to be off for everyone. They aren't used to seeing actual character in this character. She's used to getting things together as a leader on her side of the room, as she takes inspiration from Woody's leadership to go on her own in Molly's room.

I think it's safe to assume that this is when molly was 5, based on the numbered porcelain figures ranging in height. My sister used to get similar dolls each bday.

Many people are saying Bo seems out of character, but considering how little we ever saw of her, it looks to me like it's just a side of her we never saw. Or that she changed between Toy Story 2 & 3 in some way.

They want to fool the audience into thinking "Bo was always this way" but if you do even some quick looking back at the 1990s movies, it's very obvious that Bo was not the character she is in Toy Story 4 at ALL. Even in the flashback scene taking place during the time she was still living at Andy's house, her character was drastically different than what it was, which basically proves that this movie is trying to gaslight everyone.

This does seem very out of character for Bo Peep, but I have a theory. Perhaps she is acting more like Woody because of some unseen character development arc that occurred from the assumed relocation of Bo Peep from Andy's room to Molly's. Since Woody was in charge of maintaining the order of Andy's toys, Bo adopts the very same role in Molly's room and maintains the order of her toys. This is just my personal headcanon, but I think its in the realm of possibility. I do love this brief yet tension laced clip nonetheless!!! :)

Good theory. We gotta remember that at the start of the Toy Story series, Bo Peep was the only female toy in Andy's house. Molly was just a baby and doesn't own any major toys till TS2. Maybe all the newer toys that Molly owns look up to her as a leader

I think it fits. She was always the most level-headed and logical toy of the group. If Woody/buzz never rushed into action to save toys like they always did in the original movies, I could totally see her being the strategist for the group and coming up with plans like the one here. It’s just a little different seeing her in that leading role since she was always just the quiet girl in the background so I think it’s nice seeing her being more in the front.

Anyone else think all the characters look a little strange, too shiny and white eyed? I just think there's something a little more cartoony than the previous entries. I noticed this in the first teaser as well, the eyes on the characters looked too large.

KeeferJ 1995 Thx, but let’s just stick to Toy Story now, so my theory is that the rescue fails, and that not only RC, but Bo-Peep also gets washed away by the rain, but, again, it is just a theory, we’ll just have to see more on how this story develops when the movie comes out.

I *strongly* disagree! Bo Peep looks a lot _less_ appealing here. Just because technology has advanced does not mean you need to make her face more chubby with peach color. Her character was so lovable and her gentility came across with gentle pale-pink face. This won't make or break the movie but It's not a great starting point since it's hard to reconnect with a character you love if he/she looks and feels different

ok so I can kind of see why people think this is out of character for her though to be fair we have only seen bit and bob of her since Woody end up on an adventures usually not on purpose but honestly I don't agree that she acting that out of character and here why: .It makes sense that she’s a sort of leader because she’s a shepherdess. .She is Woody's girl so she may of picked up on his way of thinking I mean she usually try to cheer him up when he is down about Andy also notice how playful she is with Woody and initiative their kiss. .I remembered at the end of Toy Story 1 she told one of the toy to drop the ramp for Woody and Buzz who were being chased by Sid's dog. it not much but hopefully you can understand why I don't see this as a bad thing it actually cool we'll be seeing more of her and her and Woody's relationship and so exicited for Toy Story 4.

Guys remember that Bo Peep was the first female toy in Andy's house. After Molly grows up and gets toys of her own like Barbie, they might've seen her as a leader of all sorts since she's been living in the house longer than them.

I never really this was a flashback until just now seeing Molly's name in the room. I started to assume it was Bonnie's room. Now that I know, it explains why we see RC. Though the time line is a little weird though. Bo Peep wasn't in the second movie, so I don't understand how Jessie would know Bo Peep and last I recall, wasn't Bo Peep a lamp or something like that? So did Andy maybe give Molly his lamp for Molly's room? If so, wouldn't Bo Peep still check up on Andy/Andy's toys? :/
