i was only scared of the robot from the first level and the enemies with shields because i remember, you could only kill them with the shift key but i didnt want to press it because i had sticky keys on and i didnt know how to turn them off lol

This game did a great job of making it feel like the whole huge world was there in front of you. From the basement to the attic to the top of the tree in the backyard at the next level, it was awesome to explore

My god, the memories with this game

Why is there a Blacksmith on the airport? Why doesn't he say anything? He doesn't even look like a Toy Story character and makes the hardest attacks to dodge. Gave me nightmares as a kid.

I love this game as a kid and still love as a adult

I believe we all love it for its level system (Ham, Secret Pizza Token, Boss, Collectables and VS. Time). We all wondered which boss was gonna be next and where he was going to be at. At least for me as little was the most intriguing section of the levels.

Zurg in Level 2 and 12 especially Level 12, another Buzz in Level 8, Stinky Pete in Level 13 and 15 are only bosses that have also appeared in movie.

The music in this game is awesome

Indeed. The 1st time(s) I came across him, I didn’t even have the Disk Launcher. So, nope! Back down I go. When I get back with the Disk Launcher, the bastard’s waiting for me, right next to that wooden slope (that you use to enter the roof), and starts flinging burning nails at me. Thanks a lot, game, for giving me my 1st heart attack, at age 10 😑! Not to mention; he’s a *_REAL_* jackhammer, not a toy. He’d be dangerous, even for humans, if not used carefully. A bit violent, for the game. Imagine playing ”Mario”; and, all of a sudden, you see fricking ”Leatherface”, wielding a chainsaw. 😱

I love how you defeated the last boss(es) just in time for the end of the soundtrack. It makes the fight all the more epic!

Me too. I didn’t turn the game off (as I was, like, 9-10 years old, at the time); but, after trying to attack it, for a bit, in vain (I didn’t have the Disk Launcher. Oops!), I jumped the heck off the building top, and left the level, like a good, little any-%-ist.

The jackhammer scared the Hell out of me When i was a kid!

Same here. More so, than any other boss, in any video game I’d played, up to that point. I actually got flashbacks to him, when I 1st came across Eyerok, in ”Super Mario 64”, a few years later (though, Eyerok scared me even more; at least, with the Jackhammer, I knew to expect a boss-fight). 😱

This game is a classic , brings me back good memories playing this before my life went to bad now.

⁠​⁠@@cmanhanks1 That’s true. Once you get over, how difficult some of them are, you realize: ”Yeah! They’re not very ”involved” (for a lack of a better term).” Then, there are the ones, like the Dinosaur boss, who are absolute jokes, from the get-go 😅. The most involved is probably the ”Toy Barn Encounter” -Boss; as it spawns other enemies, as well. The least involved would probably be the ”Bombs Away” -Biplane (even with the Tin Robot, you have to wait for the right time to shoot). Funnily, both of them are ”mechanical”. I guess, technically, all the bosses, enemies, and characters are; but you get my point. 😅

Final boss: literally 3 bosses! Me: ok whatever 'pulls out sign saying time 2 leave!!!' 'Smacks all of them with the sign' Game: U win ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Boss 12 Emperor Zurg To defeat Emperor Zurg, attack him directly with spin attack while deflecting the green balls and avoiding the yellow balls. BUT shooting at him with lasers are useless. Yes, attacking Zurg with Spin Attack should do the trick!

Yes. You can also deflect the yellow balls, as well. The only 2 differences, between the balls, are: Green balls are homing, but get destroyed, at the 1st impact; while the yellow balls are not homing, but can bounce off of walls. Like the Green and Red Koopa Shells, in ”Mario Kart”. Just, here, the green balls play the part of the Red Koopa Shells, while the yellow balls play the part of the Green Koopa Shells.

Imo the blacksmith was the hardest boss, his homing attack will hit if you're anywhere close to him, it homes in on you like a fly with a pile of fresh shit and you have to get close to him for the spin attack. To top it off his hitbox is deceptive.

Wow nostalgia hit me harder the a brick, I didn't play this game since I was 5

Great ❤ This is good old Toy Story 2, memories)) The last thing I played from "Toy Story" series was PC version of the Toy Story 3.

i thought at the time this game was awesome. i played hundred of times thr first level because i hadnt a memory card, and when my dad bought one i played this game till my ps1 lived

I wish this game would get a remake! I loved the jump puzzles and interactivity with the world as a kid!

This was a nice find in my recommendations such nostalgia makes me wanna break out my old N64 and play it again.

I like how the boss at 4:58 is a reference to the ships from the war of the worlds 1953

unguided728 Other shots including missiles are what you can block with the spin attack. It's best to do single spins than to do a fully charged spin. Lasers and shock waves are the only attacks that can't be blocked.

This felt like the hardest game in the world when I was a kid, any progress felt incredibly rewarding because I’d be stuck in the same areas for what felt like months

I still remember everyday coming home from school almost running just so I can play this game every day, farthest I got was the level on the airport. Oh how time flies. Now I downloaded the rom and the emulator to play it on my android, can't wait!

Dang, haven't seen/played this game in years, one of my favorite childhood games.

I loved watching my brother or sister play this, you know, cause I was too young to play it.

I beated this game 100 times and i still love it, althrough I'm playing new ps4 games, but when i was a kid, the slime monster scared me and it was hard to defeat it for me.

just clicked into the video and found my childhood instantly

I hated the Jackhammer boss! Every time he hit me I'd fall all the way back down to the main floor.

3:45 Funny, how the Dinosaur seems to take more damage, from the Green Laser, than, from the Disk Launcher, which is supposed to be for extremely tough enemies, like the Zurgbots, and the Jackhammer 😅.

I find it both odd and cool how they were able to use various archived recordings of Tim Allen for this game.

always felt like the final boss was bit of a letdown, just the last 3 minibosses at the same time, Zurg should have been the final boss but they were following the story imho they should have just added another filler boss in the stage where the prospector was the miniboss and just had the prospector as a final boss with more abilities.

I remember when my brother and I were kids, we’d play this game. My mom would play too and she was so happy when she defeated the tin robot lol.

I bought it on PS3 a few months ago. Got 50 Tokens, I believe.

I cant find my lost PSP over 10 years. I used to play this game so much.

Love this game, will forever have a special place in my heart as one of my very first video games, maybe the first if I could remember back when I was like 5 or 6. It's one of the best platformers on ps1 along with the Crash Bandicoot games but I missed out on Spyro at the time... In hindsight, I think some of the bosses could've been better here tbh, e.g. the dinosaur and gunslinger. Maybe make more use of the disc launcher like the Jackhammer did? Or make some bosses only get hurt by spinning deflected projectiles back at that them. Then again this is a kid's game and we never cared too much about technicalities like this then. I *was* scared by some of the bosses though, e.g. the Jackhammer, Slime monster and Spider Gunro. I also remember being stuck on Slime Time for a while as a kid! This game has a great soundtrack too!

I find it funny how the Buzz Lightyear Buggy boss is the only mini boss that doesn't say ha ha ha ha, before you fight him. All the other mini bosses just evilly laugh before you fight him.

When I was younger my parents never understood why I needed a memory card for my PlayStation so I never got one. That meant every time I’d play I’d have to start the game over lol furthest I got was the spider boss.

how did yuo get it running? it always sows a bug that makes me sure its not compatable with win 8 or 10. while it runs on win 7. did you had win7 wehn making this?

This was one of the very first games i every played (next to Donkey Kong 64) so this game will always hold a very special place in my heart!!!!!!!

I always had problems with Zurg and the prospector when I was a kid. And I was scared shitless of the attic robot, probably because of his face.

I always found it annoying that Zurg and Stinky Pete, the main villains that actually appeared in the movie, were impervious to Buzz's trademark laser attack and had to be taken down with that spin move, for some reason.

@@themerovingian7154 There could have been another way to do that rather than having to rely on that move, which is incredibly clunky by itself and can leave you briefly vulnerable if you use a charged version. That’s why I hardly ever used that spin move whenever I played that game.

I beaten this game, but some bosses I could never dodge. I cant believe the damn wings help block it. Boy was I dumb
