The Alien is the spitting image of Giegers in the original. Dang cool.

McFarlane are articulated statues with fantastic detail! Not for children. Still love them.

Both of these figures were released in 12' scale as well, and I think these versions of the figure, which I own, are superior, especially the Predator. The Xeno is just as awesome but has serious issues with its ankles, such as mine where the plastic snapped off new in box. But with a bit of glue it became my favorite display piece. I love how the plastic is SLIGHTLY translucent

The display stand would go well with the neca queen alien.

the Blades are broken off :(

I have had this in box on display since around 2001 when it came out and honestly the detail imo is still better than NECA which I also like and have some pieces. The difference is the articulation really if you do In fact open them up that’s the difference. For an almost 20 year old set I’d say it’s very impressive.

I always saw MacFarlane figures as comic inspired versions of the character's but NECA's are bassed more off the actual film

nice review , I remember seeing this set in stores a good while ago. although I do think the others are right the poor predators wrist blades are broken as I have the single carded figure which uses the same mold

Great review man. I have these but the switch for the xenos second mouth is under the head on mine.

One area where this set still rules over NECA: The Predator's netting. Every Pred I buy usually requires at least minimal touch-ups on the netting.

Does anyone here remeber the predator having a mask and not exposed face? I had a set of this as a kid and I’m looking for the original one and I’m having some kind of weird experience not being able to find the one I had as a kid . It looked exactly like this set but the predator had his predator mask.

The one I have of the EXACT same figure is 12" Tall. He comes with a forrest broken tree base to stand on with pegs under his feet.

I hate the color of the aliens finger nails, bothers me so much but like he said its good for an old figure

6:50 Haha, no. In Predator the Predator is at least as foot taller than schwarzennegger when he lifts Dutch to eye level. Predators and aliens are both 7 feet on average. 12:03 the open one did not have a light.

Hey guy, i am very disappointed with what you Say. The figures are great and the lack of articulation Is a pro because web get more detail and correct proportions on the figure. I prefer by far statues instead of Toys with many articulation.

Predators are always bigger and have always been 7 plus feet tall. Xenomorphs are what have gotten smaller and more quadrupedal. Which I think is a good thing.

Aliens and Predators have both always been in the 7 foot range. Always. Even when played by stuntmen of shorter stature, the intent is that they are a foot over the average human.

These are great. Not a big fan of Neca..The articulation feels cheap and you can almost do nothing as far as posing the new aliens

I have extreme issue with your lore knowledge here... saying predators are scaled to a man? No no no no no no no. Kevin peter hall was 7 foot 4, normally. They made him a few inches taller on top of that. The smallest predators are at least 7 and a half feet tall, with most ranging near 8 feet. Aliens range between 6 and 8 feet tall, but have LONG LONG legs that are multi jointed and are mostly in a crouched/bent leg postion, and are almost never fully extended and walking directly up right.

I mean I'm a little more knowledgeable of the stuff now or research things before recording a lot of the real early stuff was only going by off the top of my head knowledge which wasn't always right
