I sure wish you were close by. I’ve been trying to get my a/c fixed for 5 years , replaced the compressor 3 times and still no cold air. I’m going to look at those fuses and check those out myself. I’m 62 but really appreciate this video. Thank you

I have the same year town car, and have some play in my steering wheel, the tie rods, bearings, ball joints, center link, idler arm, ball joints, control arms are all solid, and it has a good alignment. I scanned the computer and found code c1897, somehow the power steering is on the same loop as the rear air suspension. I don't know where to look next. The rear suspension , compressor etc is working fine. Anyone can help me out with some advice? Would be appreciated. 2000 L Series 322k miles, still ticking.

I have a 99 Ford C.V.P.I. and the A/C system is cycling the A/C compressor clutch on and off in addition to the radiator fan not coming on to help cool the engine which causes it to overheat when the A/C is running. It will run all day long with the A/C off and the cooling fan will kick on when it needs to at idle. However when I turn on the A/C as I said before the fan shuts off and the A/C compressor clutch cycles on and off. I don't want to run without any A/C where I live (I live in Las Vegas NV and it gets hot here) I replaced the compressor, condenser, accumulator, and orifice plug, and the cooling fan itself. I checked fuses and those seem okay, only replaced one relay on the car not sure if there are more that need replacing. I have the A/C high pressure lines ready to go in as well as the cooling fan motor connector AND the A/C compressor clutch connector. At this point I have only the low side lines and the evaporator to replace on my A/C system. I am pulling my hair out and ready to shoot my car over this stupid problem and I am tired of playing whackamole with this problem any hints or suggestions as to what it might be?

After an engine swap on my 2007 Lincoln Town car my r a s m fuse under the hood keeps blowing and my air conditioner is an engaging the clutch pulley isn't engaging. The fact that neither one of these was a problem before the engine swap I would think normally the mechanic is liable since it wasn't broken when it went in but he's watching more money saying to work on the air conditioning he hasn't been paid the air conditioning was all brand new this year can you tell me why it would be blowing the fuse under the hood for the rasm and not engaging do you think they're connected? the problem,??s Can you tell me where to begin thank you sir.

We have a 2000 Lincoln tc. The ac has been working great. Blower motor bushings were loud so we installed a new one. We can hear it blowing and ac is cycling but for some reason no air is coming out of vents. Worked great before blower got changed and now it isn't. We are checking vent flaps. Any suggestions? Everything seems to be working and yet there's hardly any air blowing with it on high.

Great video I have a question my AC klutz continues to run I put a new AC compressor in and it is working blowing cold but the clutch does not cut off I look at the relay and the owner before tampered with the relay there is only two prongs on the relay with a electric wire going to two Prongs what could the issue be

So , what if the fan blower does not work when you turn it on , but it only works when it feels like it ? I do not use the a/c at all , only heat for the brutal wisconsin winters .

It's going out I know this is a two-year-old comment but if you tap on a lot of blower fans when they're going out will start up I used to have to kick underneath my glove box to get my blower fan to work before I change the motor

I have a 2001 town car cartier and I had intermittent on off clutch cycling. I took the low pressure cycling switch connector off and humored the 2 prongs with a paper clip. The clutch remained on. With that in mind, I replaced the switch, and plugged it in and still have the same clutch off and on every 5 seconds or so. Do you have any idea what may be causing this? Also when I hook up a freon can with guage to the low side, the guage bounces into the red when the clutch is on or off, can't remember which but when it does the opposite, the guage drops back into the lower part of the green area. I have a 2000 crown victoria police Interceptor. It goes on and off. Bypass it, ac compressor works fine and no air blowing through the vents. I also change evacuation, still the same things. Do you think might be the high/lower sensors that mentions on your video. Please if you can help. Thanks.

where is the heater relay loacated on a 2000 lincoln town car

anyone know if you unscrew high pressure switch is there a shraeder valve in that small think ac line connector? would not want it to spit out the freon?

Does checking the ac compressor clutch relay go for the heat as well?

The ac clutch is not used for heat. In my experience, the most common cause of low or no heat is low coolant. Check the coolant level only after the car has been off for a long time and the engine cooled down.

Ok my ac works fine on parkin i put it on drive and the fuse will blow every time i put it on drive

Hey like your videos, I have a 01 town car cartier the climate control is not working the unit comes on and will look like it's working OK but the air will not blow and then suddenly it will blow on hi for several minutes then stops it does this at different times. I bought another climate control unit but it did not help. Any idea what to try next? Thanks

I would inspect the connection at the blower motor for corrosion or burnt pins. You can also see if the blower motor has a power or ground when it is not coming on.

I have a 2001 Lincoln executive 4.6 in it and the fuses forgetting the clutch fan going I'm doing exactly what you're talking about and they are similar but not the same but mine is the executive and I can't even find a damn book for it there's so many that claim to be for an executive but they're not

Hello I’ve got a 97 town car executive series 4.6L V8 and I did a diag on it and It says it’s got a eatc fault|2 and I’ve been having problems with my digital dash when in park it would shuffle threw the mph and it I just pulled my dash to fix a chime buzzer fault code and it dosent make that noise when I’ve got the door open and it only starts shuffleing the mph when I turn on the ac or heater pls help im kind of stuck doing everything myself or id be charged an arm and a leg because people I know hate working on older models of cars

It still shuffles threw the mph and the automatic ac setting dose not blow air at all but everything else on the ac unit works besides the automatic setting
