Okay I gotta know everything. I’ve literally been talking to my wife about doing a real similar setup for ours. How’s it tow with a toy hauler that far past the axle ? What’s the gear ratio? What kind of fuel mileage you averaging ?

Perfect editing as usual. Please tell me about your super single front wheels/tires as where to get and are you happy with them. I would like to put them on my bus fronts and am not finding any information on them.

Thanks I appreciate it!! The siren was built into the original front bumper. It was removed with the bumper bit I saved the siren. I do plan on installing it again more to use the PA system but I can wee woo In parades again lol

I'd cut a slot in that flat bed from the 5th wheel hitch to the rear for the kingpin of any trailer to travel through... might makes things easier. Then make a cover to go over everything so its all solid when hauling on the flatbed and not pulling a trailer.

I originally wanted to do that but looking at the bed, that rear cross bar basically holds all the weight at the rear of the bed. If I can find a way to support it enough so it doesn't bend then your right, it would make hooking up trailers way easier!

I was thinking the same thing, especially if your going to actually use it to pull a gooseneck trailer, without a cut out and the height of the top of the bed, even with the ability to lower the airbag you may not have enough jack to hookup many gooseneck trailers. Really awesome build though, love seeing older equipment repurposed!😊

How long is the flatbed on your truck?

Just raise your bed a little to lower rear of bed so pin clears then you don’t have to raise and lower the trailer to hook and unhook

I like the idea. So the way the bed works you have to slide it back about 5 inches for it to unlock from the front bed locks. With the 4th wheel hitch where it is makes it impossible for the bed to move at all. But I like the idea maybe I can make a different style lock for the front of the bed.

What is the top speed on the highway?

I have another idea buy an ambulance and put spare tiers for your new company

Hey the rear tire size is a 12r22.5 16pr they are fire stone radials. Usual semi truck tire size

Can you put a car up there too???

What motor does it have and what was fuel mileage pulling trailer ??

So that trip the fuel gauge decided to stop working, so it was hard to keep track of the fuel mileage. With the truck empty and the new 410 gears I would get around 15mpg. I found out that I had a fuel issue as well the truck was working harder to tow the trailer. Next weeks video will explain everything and I give the motor some upgrades!!

It has the 8.3 cummins with the p pump. Truck has 30k original miles.

I have a idea buy a fire chief and make it into the command unit for your new towing company

Hey I would try again and check your volume setting maybe, let me know if it's still not working. Seems to work on my phone and computer.
